~Grand Gift Academy, Northern Wing
Bell's POV
A year passed uneventfully.
Class seemed to progress as per normal, nothing put of the blue.
It seemed as if the day my father was killed was long ago...
Then, as quick as normality came, it disappeared.
A crack in space appeared out of nowhere as if a tyrant had come from another world.
The crack in space and time opened up even bigger and out came a person.
A
Very,
Very,
Dangerous person.
<Cardinal Flame> was the title given to this person.
Famed for her knowledge of fire laws and influence. She was one of the strongest existences in this world, the mentor of Fey Crux.
Something seemed off about her the moment I saw her.
It seemed as if she was in battle mode, the bloodlust from her was strong, her desire to kill frightened the other students.
An icy voice came from her mouth,"All of you, have to die. DIE FOR ME."
She then proceeded to produce twin swords with fire blazing and strange runes on it...
Then, she disappeared. And appeared behind a student.
Then she was gone again.
I blinked and saw the student she appeared behind of completely dismantled. Chopped into pieces without any option to retaliate before being mercilessly slaughtered by this legendary character.
Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat. Splat.
Student after student were being mercilessly killed without a hint of hesitancy.
This was the terrifying might of someone who has become one of the strongest individuals on this continent.
Then, I felt a dark sensation envelop me as I saw <Cardinal Flame> heading straight to me.
~Unknown Location
I wake up groggily.
My head hurt as if someone hit my head with a hammer repeatedly.
"Urgh...where am I? What is this place?... Hello? Is anyone there?" I ask in a curious voice.
Normal people would have freaked out by now but I felt warmth emanating from this place.
It was as if...I belonged here...
Then, out of nowhere, a figure appeared. This person was irregular.
His limbs were way longer than a normal man and a mask covered his face.
I felt as if this man who looked extremely dangerous, made me feel safer in this unknown place.
"Ah, Bell Trinity was it? Welcome to my humble abode, the Chaotic Mist Realm. Now I am very sure you wish to know why I have brought you here." A cold, calculating voice said. It seemed to be from the man.
"To answer that, I shall first begin with a story."
"Once upon a time, there was a king. This king was extremely powerful. He ruled over the seven material plains and was invincible in the seven plains. However one day, a force came, a force who could threaten his reign. Thus, he employed the help of one of his friends to get rid of this force. But this person he employed got curious once they saw the force. It was just a young boy. This person checked the boy and was immediately entrapped by the destiny of this boy. Thus, this person didn't kill the boy but brought him to another world. Then, the man proceeded to change destiny."
"You, Bell, are that boy in the story. Your very existence threatens the Mortal King's reign. As such, I have gotten curious about you. I wish to change your destiny. I will offer you power. Enough to even rival that of his majesty, the Mortal King. This power of course, comes with a price as does any kind of offer. From what I have deduced, you have five thousand years of life. In this realm, you cannot grow any stronger. I will send you to another realm to defeat the entity that is occupying said realm. The catch is, you have to defeat this entity within twenty five hundred years. If you fail to do so, you will get weaker with every passing moment there and then, to the point where you could be seriously injured by a gust of wind."
I stare at this "man" with a bit of apprehension.
It wasn't everyday that one met a monstrously strong entity that surpassed one's imagination by an unimaginable margin.
"Okay then, I accept. Tell me the specifics that entails this kind of entity. I will do everything in my power to slay it. If I die, then it's destiny."
The man laughed coldly,"Very good! A wise decision indeed. I first thought you to be a coward! Very well, I shall go into details. Firstly the path to power is a solitary one. If you choose to pursue power, you will be unable to form any relationships with people. Next, there are six realms you will have to go to. This is the first and the weakest realm of the ones you will visit. Do keep in mind when I say weakest, I mean the weakest of the strongest. The Realm of the Sun. Since you have agreed to this, I shall now proceed to give you a skill to help you on your path and send you to the Sun's Realm."
Then, white light enveloped me as I started to float.
The last thing I heard was a cold voice joyously shouting out to me,"HAHAHA! This will be the most interesting thing i'll see in my lifetime! Don't disappoint Bell!"
The comprehension of my abilities reach the highest level and a complete mapping of the Sun Realm went into my head.
Then, everything turned to white and faded away.
I opened my eyes and what was laid before my eyes was not the sight of decimated students laying on the floor of the classroom nor one of complete darkness.
Instead, it was a world of fire. Lava flowing as freely as the rivers in my world. Firebirds flittering around leaving embers of flames in their stead. It was as if the mountains back in my world were burnt and refined into the obsidian mountains I saw in the horizon...
It was...
Beautiful...
Yet...
It was indeed a terrifying, heaven defying existence to behold.
I felt as if one wrong move could potentially severely harm me or worse yet, kill me.
