"Right students! This year's gonna be a big'gun! We have new crew this year climbing aboard to replace the old! We'll be taking part in two competitions simultaneously this year, the Lankastiar Seralis Trials and the Senior Magistrate Selection!"
A chorus of 'Ooh's' and 'Ahh's' filled the hall.
"We have six people representing our school this year, three old, three new! First up, Sebastian Willows, Ariana Oakley and Lucia Ayries, our long-time representatives will of course be joining like always. Then, we have new participants, Javier Willows, Constatine Jackson and Queenie Einhardt joining us!"
Cheers and catcalls sounded in the hall, as words of encouragement were thrown around along with applause.
"And now, you may be asking yourselves, these are all seniors, what about the Lankastiar Seralis Trial? Isn't that for juniors seventeen and below?" The headmaster paced the stage,"Hate it or love it, you have to admit that you know why we're participating in this."
"On the personal request of our prized junior Belle Trinity, we will now open competitions to the school's eager juniors. However- There are two simple conditions you must fulfil, one based on her suggestion and one of my discretion."
The hall quietened down, eagerly awaiting the conditions.
"Condition one! Well technically, it's already been fulfilled for some of you. You cannot be cocky. For the past month, we've been monitoring you. And don't think i've not heard or seen the depravity that is the 'populars' and 'unpopulars' in this school. It's time that I put a stop to that. So now, your consideration will be of importance if you even want to stand a chance of staying in this school. We've hand-picked a few names already."
"Condition two. Academics. From now on, if you want to enter competitions, be it for prestige or money, you will need a good performance in your studies. Keep in mind, a scholarship will be given only if you enter a competition. That is all for now. The list of names has been pasted outside each classroom. Starting from most eligible to barely passing, top to bottom. One person per class will be selected via signup and list. You will follow along beside the academy's most prized student and face the competition alongside her. We are not here to give you a chance to mess around or lose your mind over her. This is purely for self-improvement."

The door to the roof opened.
"What are you doing here?"
"Dear brother, your coldness astounds me absolutely."
"Your vile politeness disgusts me."
"Hmph. I won't argue with you. I'm simply here to offer a wager, if you'd like."
"..."
"I can see your contemplation. It is a simple wager regarding the upcoming competition."
"..."
"The Senior Magistrate Selection, a sophisticated match goes in ranks, much like many famous competitions, this one is on par with last year's, perhaps even more so."
"You needn't explain everything. I'm not an idiot."
"Very well, since we're all going in ranks...Say...If I get a higher rank than you...You'll break up with Belle and personally leave the school."
"...And if I win?"
"I am the Crown Prince of Poarmerous. I will personally exile myself from the crown and the country itself and renounce your title and fulfil any single request you want. Plus...I'll never pursue Belle ever again."
