"The toll'll be one platinum coin a person. So four in total." The border guards spoke.
Arceus pulled out the coins from his spatial ring whilst James practically drooled.
He was of noble descent but had been evicted from his family by his own parents, thus he had worked to the bone to achieve a scholarship into the royal court.
"Have a good day sir." The guard saluted Arceus and let the group pass into what was known from here on out as Elvenheim, country of the Elven race, the grandaddy of nature and beauty.
However, to even reach the city nearest to the capital, it was a six day trek on a road that was relatively safe if you didn't stray intk the jungles on the sides.
"This is it ladies and gentlemen! Elvenheim! You have officially stepped into the land of nature, wild beasts and lovely long-eared beauties and feminine men!" A man's loud voice shouted out.
They had just left the border police and entered the other side of Wichen town, where the law was much, much stricter.
"What should we do?" Emma asked.
"Shall we just take a look around, should we hire a guide?" James replied.
"I guess so. This place is unfamiliar territory after all." Gracie answered.
Walking up to that man who shouted earlier, the man saw the group and waved his hand,"Welcome! Welcome! Do you need a guide? I'm the most reliable one around! It'll be two gold a week sir!"
Arceus flipped a coin to the man,"We'll pay you half first. The rest you'll get at the end of the week."
The man nodded happily, stuffing the coin away,"Ahaha! Pleased to meet everyone, my name's Jake, i'll be your guide here so please treat me well!"
After introducing everyone, Jake asked,"So, mister Arceus sir, where would you like to go?"
"That depends, where can you bring us?"
"I'm known well round here sir, I can bring you everywhere with the exception of the main capital of Elvenheim! Of course, you'll have to buy the supplies for the trip and..."
Arceus tossed a few gold coins to Jake,"Bring us to get a carriage. Can you control one?"
Jake nodded excitedly and brought them to buy a carriage.
Soon after, they told Jake to head out.
"W-what? Just us?" Jake asked apprehensively.
"Yep. Is there something wrong?" Arceus asked confused.
"W-well...The road is safe for the most part but there are many high levelled bandits around! All around level one hundred! They're all extremely powerful!"
Emma covered her mouth at the grown man cowering at the thought of level one hundred bandits while James shivered.
He was a scholar, not a fighter.
Arceus gave a nonchalant shrug,"So? We'll be able to deal with them easily."
Jake gave an hesitant look before sighing.
Getting on in the rider's seat, the rest climbed into the back and headed out on the journey.

"So any ideas on where to look for this guardian protector?" Gracie asked, stroking Chestnut's fur.
She had let him out to roam for a while.
James who still hadn't gotten used to the beast was uncomfortable but still replied,"T-the historical records say the noble Elves also have social rankings too. If we could somehow get entrance to royalty we could..."
