The grass rustled quietly, the wind humming.
Belle found herself in a patch of grassland, before her a tranquil pond that captured the moon in its shiny glory.
For acres and beyond, there was not a single person in her sight nor a building.
"Pretty sight, innit?" A casual voice entered her head, sounding so familiar to her.
Belle stumbled back to find a girl.
Not just a normal girl, it was her.
"Who are you?..." Belle asked, uncertain of her assumptions.
"Me? Oh, I'm just the real you. The you who remembers who you were before you came here. Mind you, I was the one who saved you when you died."
"Died?..." Belle asked.
"Heh. No need for small talk. I expected this. There's no need to ask if I'm really you. I know everything. Your kiss at the hospital? I know all the details."
Belle blushed, shocked.
"Well, I've brought you here because i'm not happy with you. Well me, ah you get the point."
"Not...Happy?"
"Mhm! That's exactly it. Guess I wasn't as dumb as I thought I was when I was young. Where was I-Yeah! I'm not satisfied!"
"For the past three hundred, I've been making love stories and i'm just simply done with it! Ugh, I'm tired of playing with people's emotions! I wanna be a mass murder or something~"
Belle was horrified.
This person standing before her...Was her?
She seemed so casual about murder, too casual.
Was it really her before she lost her memories?
"M-mass murderer?..."
"M~an! This is why I fucking hated my past self. Good fucking riddance. What did it take me? Seven thousand years before I decided to become better? Fucking god, I was such a goody two shoes. And that old bag of bones even thought I was good." Her reflection sighed, her voice sounding weathered.
Belle didn't know how to respond.
"Ah, this thing with Sebastian is a no go. I scrap the N thing for now...Keep the two...No keep everyone around...I'll gradually accept myself...Ehh...Turn in...Yep yep yep! Ohoho! It's settled! I'll make me...You...A much more interesting person..." Her reflection showed no sign of deviancy.
It was a facade Belle could not make out but that slight feeling of uneasiness was what put her off.
"Stop..." Belle stepped back,"D-don't do this!..."
Her reflection was impassive, unsympathetic, uncaring.
The vibe she gave off a far cry from before, her friendliness that practically radiated from her evaporated in an instant, parting way for malice and deviousness.
"Stop? Oh, you &@&#%€&$#^! I could kill you $@#£€¥@$ times over! You HAVE NO POWER." The calm grass grew a thousand times its size, beginning to burn.
The gentle hum grew violent, morphing into demonic cries that resonated with death and despair itself.
From the pond, a vicious creature exploded into life, destroying everything in its path.
Belle did the only thing her body felt she could ever manage a chance of surviving by.
She ran.
