Gracie woke up in a familiar room.

The one she had ended up in when she had drunk too much.

"You know...You really should stop overexerting yourself little lass." A voice came from her side.

Gracie turned her head to see Chester,"Your majesty...I..."

"Tsk...No need for formalities lass. We have things to discuss." Chester spoke as he leaned back into his chair.

"What is there to discuss?..." Gracie asked.

"I've been suppressing my curiosity for years now lass. I need an answer. Her highness...Why did she come? Why did she help you...then leave?..." Chester spoke in a very quiet voice.

Gracie's face showed a blank expression, something she had practiced over the years but inside, she was like a tightly capped volcano about to erupt.

However, upon remembering the headmaster's words back in Emperyus, Gracie decided this man, Chester Elliot, could be trusted.

Gracie sighed whenever she thought about Belle, her heartbeat increased, making her feel something was empty whenever Belle wasn't around.

"I...She is...My teacher..." Gracie replied.

Chester's eyes widened for a moment before relaxing again,"I...I see...Why did she leave then?"

Gracie shook her head, her blue eyes trembling, tears threatened to fall at any moment as Gracie thought back to the moment of humongous regret she had felt when she realised Belle had left before she got to announce her feelings.

From that day on, she had promised herself three things.

Be decisive, be strong and never bow.

Three extremely vague terms that Gracie followed on a daily basis.

Gracie rubbed the small spatial ring on her ring finger and a small note appeared in Gracie's hand.

"This...She put this on my drawer on the day she left...This...Is one of the few items I have left from her..." Gracie replied quietly, a solemn tone in her trembling voice.

Chester took the small piece of paper and treated it like it was the most precious treasure in the world whilst reading it.

Chester's hands too trembled after reading the note, not from sadness, but from excitement.

"This...This is fantastic news!" Chester shouted aloud, shocking Gracie.

"What?..."

Chester breathed out, exhilarated,"She will return and do anything for you lass! We could win the war! This! A favour from the highest being! The Immortal goddess amongst deities! She's really given a favour to you lass! Haaaa!"

Gracie was stunned,"I..."

Chester raised his eyebrows,"Is something the matter?"

"Don't depend on this...This favour so much! Even I'm not sure when she'll return! It could be tomorrow! Maybe fifty years down the line! Maybe when I'm half dead on the battlefield and about to be killed off!" Gracie yelled.

She didn't know why she was angry, she just was that Chester was using that small note of hers for something...good?

Why was so mad that Chester wanted to use the note to end the war?
