Royal Garden.
Nightfall.
Emma was dressed in a low-cut black dress.
Lightweight, simplistic and comfy, Emma walked into the royal garden.
The moonlight shone on Emma's raven black hair as she moved towards the gazebo.
Nearing it, Emma saw a figure sitting at the gazebo, sipping a cup of coffee and another beast-like figure beside the figure.
"Ah, looks like you've arrived." Gracie smiled, this time, in a gentle, courteous manner, unlike the gritty, malicious ones she showed that afternoon.
"No need to be polite with me. Be blunt. What do you want?" Emma muttered in bated breath.
She only had a certain amount of power and could only do things up to a certain degree.
As such, she hoped that Gracie wouldn't be too ambitious and give her a tall order.
"Why so glum? Come, sit down and have some tea. It's premium honey chamomile, expensive stuff." Gracie said, taking another sip.
Emma sat down warily and picked up the cup of tea.
She took a sip, instantly calming her jittery nerves.
"So first off, I would like to apologise for this afternoon..." Gracie said, scratching the back of her neck embarrassingly.
Emma spurted the tea out in surprise,"Huh?"
Gracie took out a small handkerchief and passed it to Emma who muttered a 'thanks' in response.
She then turned to Gracie,"Apologise? Why? You've won me fair and square. I don't need your pity."
Gracie shook her head,"My behaviour then was irrational...That isn't my true personality...I've just recently been having troubled days so you, provoking me just made something snap in me. I normally wouldn't go out my way to provoke others."
Emma leaned back in her chair,"So let me get this straight. You threatened me, insulted me and humiliated me in front of...him...To relieve stress?"
Gracie's head ducked down, like a child being scolded, she nodded soundlessly.
Emma just sat in utter shock.
This girl before her was nothing like the vicious woman from this afternoon.
In honesty, Gracie looked more an introverted child than malicious killer to Emma.
Emma sighed,"It's fine...I deserved it anyway...Just my luck that I decided to piss you off when you were down on your luck."
Gracie hugged Chestnut who growled in satisfaction and flashed a small smile at Emma,"Thanks for your understanding...Wow that was easy. I would have imagined a lot more shouting and hair pulling to get you to forgive me..."
Emma put on a self-mocking grin,"I made an honorary vow to follow all your commands for the day so, I would have to apologise to you would I not?"
Gracie nodded in mutual agreement.
It seemed as if the two had skimmed through their differences and made up quite easily.
Emma put on a serious face,"However, I will never give up Arceus to you! He's mine and if you get in the way of our relationship, I won't hesitate to go against you!"
Gracie's smile froze for a second before her shoulders trembled.
Emma tilted her head at the weird response.
