A New Job

"Ah, Miss Trinity. It is a pleasure to finally meet you." An old man wearing a suit greeted Belle.

"I think we can all agree that we are working together in alignment?" Another woman spoke.

"Everyone, do quieten for a while. I've been making a few preparations to join already. I only need three things done as quickly as possible. Only three conditions you need to fulfil if you wish for me to join." Belle smiled.

Sebastian, Lucia and Ariana sat at the side alongside the headmaster who had been sidelined,"Who are they?..." Sebastian asked.

"Ten of the most important men and women alive. Out of three quarters of the countries of course. These people are the puppeteers behind the scenes. Holding more influence than the grand magister." The headmaster whispered back.

"And they all want to recruit Belle?"

"Correct. She's a speciality. A one woman wrecking crew. If they get her on board, their company's fame will skyrocket. Furthermore, with her powers...It's not difficult to say that she'd be able to resolve a war, via talking or by force."

"What about the three conditions?" Sebastian asked,"Isn't she a killer?...Someone who has taken over the real Belle?"

"She is the real Belle. And the conditions...I do not know."

"Well condition one ladies and gents. I'll be paid in full every month a million credits. And if you want a job done, we'll discuss from there yeah? I can guarantee a hundred percent success if I take it on. If I decide to ditch it, I'll repay ten times the agreed upon amount. Any objections?" Belle raised her eyebrow.

"I'll pay twice the million."

"Thrice!"

"Quintuple that amount!"

Soon, it ended with seven out of the ten remaining at ten million monthly leaving the three with mouths agape,"What kind of job is she taking?!"

"Confidential."

"Next condition...I want teammates. So...The first three to convince those three over there to join me...Get to pass."

Immediately they turned to the trio, shouting figures at them.

The three kept on declining, feeling extremely awkward that these extremely important men and women were reduced to people begging them to join.

However, they remained steadfast, unwilling to agree,"We won't...Help you..We're sorry..."

Belle smirked,"Chicken."

Lucia was taken aback,"Ex-cuse me?"

"You are all cowards. What? Am I not right? Oh, I know. I'll force you. You three. If you don't pick a person right now, I'll kill them all. And if that doesn't move you...I'll kill you three too." Belle sadistically grinned,"How about this ultimatum? Will you join me? Or will you let the blood of innocents fall on your hands?"

Forced into a tight spot, they chose three, the other four dejectedly walking out.

"Good, good. Now the final and most important one. The playroom and how much you can offer monthly. Ajax, you first."

"We are prepared to offer three a month miss."

"Leina?"

"Double Ajax's offer. Six."

"And Svenson?" Belle smiled.

The old man smiled back,"Fifteen. And state-of-the-art equipment for whatever suits your desires."

"Deal. Remember, you can't go back on a deal once it's been agreed on." Belle smiled.

Svenson nodded,"Likewise, Miss Trinity."

Belle sat down as the other two left.

The headmaster clapped,"Congratulations students. You've been hired by League of Nations' Svenson Alfred. Leader of Counterstrike."

"Mm, thank you Miss Guness, now, we have an urgent matter matter that needs tending. Miss Belle, I believe we will make our first deal now?"

Belle laughed,"Go on. Whaddaya need?"

"Weapons. The League of Nations is in dire need of weapons more so those that can channel magic." Svenson said.

Belle smirked,"You want to use the Destiny Bell? You and I know very well that only the strongest from a planet can access it. And that someone is a subordinate of mine."

Svenson nodded,"We are willing to sacrifice things if need be."

"Wait, hold up. The Destiny Bell? What the hell is that?" Ariana asked.

Svenson turned to the confused trio,"The biggest trading stop in the universe. It sells and holds every item attainable irregardless of its usefulness and rarity. Within the Destiny Bell, the rules are very simple. A trade is a trade. No take backs."

"Wait...What if someone steals? Isn't the owner worried?"

Svenson laughed,"HAH! Worried? The entire place is enforced by magic. If you even fall out of line, you'll be eliminated on sight. And the other? She's filthy rich. So rich in fact that money is no longer a requirement. In fact, she doesn't even need more money. The only time she ever shows up publicly at the Destiny Bell's lounge is for when something she needs is in stock."

"Wait...Everything? You mean everything?" Lucia asked incredulously.

The headmaster nodded,"There are fantastical weapons for sale, items which can completely nullify magic. Even elixirs to increase life for up to billions of years exist. Want a mythological pet? There's a few trillion on sale. Of course, there's always a fee."

"A fee? What kind?" Sebastian asked, intrigued.

"Mana crystals. Pure, refined, solidified mana that only the strongest on a planet can create. Items can start as low as a gram of a crystal to an impossibly large number."

"Wait...Then how do we enter?"

Svenson was about to open his mouth when,"It'll be a small surprise for them. Plus this'll be the first time you'll be seeing the Destiny Bell. If we make a deal that is."

"Yes. What is it you desire Miss Trinity."

"Since you've been gracious, consider the entrance fee for the first time my welcoming gift. As for the weapons...What kind?"

"We need a blueprint for a more advanced sniper rifle for the more common elements. A custom made one for a elite and ten blueprints for advanced quick fires plus materials."

"Hum~Let's see...Say...Oh! I need seven materials Galleite, Hellite, Jexium, Astatice, Reaxis, Halestrie and Red Nailstrad." Belle listed,"Nn. A kilogram of that will do."

"Rare metals and gemstones...Though expensive, it is worth it. It is a deal." Svenson nodded.

Belle winked,"Let's get a move on then! Five feet!"
