"Ninety to one thirty! Speed up! Final stretch! Elite wind mages! Gold targets count for five!" Belle yelled.
Gracie ignored the stone and golden targets, instead choosing to fight with Belle over the wooden ones.
Time passed as Gracie almost reached her utmost limit.
"One more Gracie! You're at ninety-nine!"
"[Crushing Earth]!" Gracie screamed, releasing the final spell.
The ground rumbled dangerously as the rank ten spell occured.
A pillar made from the earth, strengthened by Gracie's absurd mana reserves, smashed viciously into the wooden target, breaking a few of Belle's arrows as it splintered the wood.
"And~ That's a hundred to thirty five!" Belle said.
Gracie, upon finishing the hundred had collapsed to the ground, falling unconscious as sleep overtook her body.
Belle stood quietly by the side as she undid the spell on the targets.
Bang!
A loud sound resounded as the spell was undone, causing the targets to burst apart and melt back into the cracks of the earth.
Belle walked up to Gracie and looked at her face.
Gracie's face was tinted red due to exhaustion yet it only further increased her charm.
On her face was a sheen of sweat that glistened under the moonlight.
Belle smiled as she sat down, gathering her bearings.
Stroking Gracie's hair, she sighed,"You've done well...you've done well."
After a few minutes of relaxing, Belle stood up and carried Gracie bridal style.
She held Gracie as she walked back to Gracie's apartment.
The sound of the gravel crunching and Gracie's shallow breathing were the only sounds that one could hear.
Belle carefully studied Gracie's peaceful sleep face and felt her own heat up.
She slapped herself lightly on her cheeks with both hands as she placed Gracie down on her bed.
"Idiot!...What are you thinking?..." Belle muttered to herself as she tucked the sleeping Gracie in.
Belle, before leaving, left a letter on Gracie's drawer.
Saying goodnight to Chestnut, she left.
"I need to clear my head..." Belle mumbled as she walked out unsteadily.
Looking back again, her legs felt like jelly as she walked away.
"What's going on with me?" She whispered to herself, putting her hand on her chest.
Thump, thump, thump.
She could feel her heart beating extremely fast.
Even in battles, she would never be this anxious nor nervous over something.
Shaking her head, she walked to the roof of the apartment, putting on her same indifferent demeanour once more.
------
The next day.
Gracie woke up feeling completely refreshed.
Opening her mouth, she gave a loud yawn as she rubbed sleep from her eyes.
Opening her eyes after a while, she found herself in an unfamiliar room that seemed familiar.
"Where am I?..." Gracie looked around.
