Maybe.
Just maybe, she could make up for what she did.
Simply put, Belle knew that she would lose control of herself to her other half.
Yet, her brain would not let her accept that fact.
She couldn't be that cruel before she lost her memories right?
Doubt.
This word flew around in her head, bouncing around.
But how could she make up for killing not just possibly one person, but nearly fifteen a month.
"I'll balance out all the good with the bad!" Belle exclaimed.
This was her resolution.
Yet, what she didn't realise was that by doing this, she would unknowingly release something dark.
Something so grotesque, so vile that no word in any language could shed light on it.
It was an all-consuming bleakness that let nothing go.
Yet, she also released the exact opposite of this thing.
Almost everything in this world needed balance to function.

University.
"Hey!" Sam called out to Belle,"Vivi! Wait up!"
Belle nodded, secretly hoping her cover hadn't been blown week five,"What's up Sammy boy?"
"Nothing, just saw you walking." Sam answered, walking alongside her.
"Hey...I...I don't wanna be rude or intrusive or anything but I study psychology so it's basically ingrained in me." Sam laughed weirdly.
"Hm?" Belle asked, starting to panic a little internally.
"I couldn't help but notice your tense posture. And your hands are positioned weirdly, it could mean you're feeling a lotta pressure or that you're hiding something. Just a hunch though." Sam said slowly, staring back at her to see if she had been offended by him.
Belle froze in her steps.
Sam stopped,"Uh-I didn't mean to offend you!" He apologised.
Belle recovered from her shock.
He hadn't found out.
Yet.
Belle shook her head,"I...Yeah." Belle decided telling half the truth was better than lying even more.
"So I was right huh? You're keeping something from us?" Sam asked quietly.
Belle nodded guiltily,"I am...But I can't tell you. If I do...I won't be able to live a normal life anymore. I know it's selfish but please don't tell them!" Belle bowed.
Sam was shocked by Belle's actions, smiling a little after recovering,"It's...Yeah. I get you. We all have secrets, some more so than others. I won't force you. You can tell us when you're ready, alright?"
Belle nodded slowly,"You're...Not mad?"
Sam stared blankly at Belle before laughing.
Belle puffed her cheeks,"What's so funny?"
Sam wiped the tears from his eyes,"Vivi, if I got mad at every single person that has kept a secret from me I'd be the world's most hateful man. It's not like I have no secrets either. It's fine. C'mon, let's get going, class is starting!"
Belle stared at the figure of Sam walking away.
"If only you knew..." Belle whispered to herself.
