Gracie's Room.
It was the next day, the sun shone through the glass window, into Arceus' eyes.
"Ugh..." Arceus woke up, rubbing sleep out of his eyes as he looked around.
"Eh?...This isn't my room...oh...yeah..." He remembered that he had asked to stay over at Gracie's place.
Then, at this point, an intoxicating smell drifted into his nose.
It smelled fragrant, like seasoned meat with a touch of sweetness.
Turning to the dining table, he saw Gracie Chestnut and Belle eating.
Gracie realising Arceus woke up called to him,"Morning Arceus! Come sit down, I saved you a plate."
"Morning...Ah thanks..." Arceus replied sheepishly as he sat down, digging into his food.
Once it entered his mouth, he felt a burst of flavours exploding in his mouth.
In a moment of weakness, he let out a sigh at the delectable taste of such high quality meat.
While slowing down his pace of eating, he turned to Gracie and asked,"What kind of meat is this? It's delicious!"
"Oh it's a flame dragon's meat. Teacher caught it from?" Gracie turned to Belle.
"I got one from one of the caverns. The guy was willing to cut a small slice for a few gold." Belle replied, eating.
"How much do you have teacher?" Gracie asked.
"Eh...five kilos?" Belle replied not thinking much of it.
"How much did you pay?"
"A billion gold? No. I think it was two billion."
Arceus almost choked on his meal as he heard the digits mentioned.
"What? Two billion gold for dragon meat? Aren't dragons proud creatures that won't do anything humans say?" Arceus asked.
"Arceus...humans...not teacher." Gracie replied.
"Ah...I see. Wait so that mean..." Arceus turned to the steak in front of him.
Holding the plate up, he judged it to be around half a kilo.
"Uh Miss Trinity...how much did you originally have?" Arceus asked with a strained voice.
Belle tilted her head,"Around seven kilos. Why?"
Arceus did calculations and he started to sweat hard.
"O-one gram is a hundred and forty two thousand g-gold..." Arceus mumbled.
Gracie realising what Arceus was thinking comforted him,"No worries Arceus, no payment needed. For teacher, no amount of gold is too much in the face of good food!"
Belle nodded, smiling,"Well said!"
With a cramped smile, Arceus turned and saw Chestnut, the manticore happily chomping away at the food.
Deciding to just enjoy the food, Arceus dug in.
Yet, after a while, the door to the room opened and an old man walked through.
His face was plastered throughout the school and he was an iconic figure of his times.
It was Emperyus Academy's headmaster.
And he was carrying a tray of tea.
Belle seeing him gestured for him to seat.
He bowed and sat down, placing the tea in front of Belle,"My queen, please accept this humble gift."
