Tyr's Hall.

Before Gracie was a sword.

A blade dark as night, its pommel filled with intricate designs carved in white, a stark contrast to the sword's bleak colour.

The blade was unmistakably sharp, seemingly able to cut steel like paper, to shred iron to flakes, to effortlessly cut through humans as if they were glorified slabs of meat.

Its pommel shaped as the majestic wings of the angel while being coloured black, giving off the image of a double meaning.

An angel fallen to evil perhaps?

Maybe a devil aspiring to the light?

Would be questions asked when a prominent blacksmith examines such a magnificent work of the perfect blend of smithing, efficiency Nd artistry.

Next to the the sword was a man.

Hair a light grey tint, eyes sharp, as if piercing anything it gazes upon, his face gave off a sense of eloquence one would only find in nobility.

Standing up, he walked around Gracie, as if examining her.

"Little lady...do you desire power?" The man asked, a smooth charming voice flowed into her ear.

"Yes...I desire to become strong."

"Do you aspire to become an angel who holds the admiration of all, enchanting those below you to no end...Or perhaps a devil with endless power, ruling over the weak, oppressing rebellion with tyranny, rising to fame through slaughter?" The man whispered.

"None. I wish to be strong. To be able to stand for myself, my family and those I wish to protect. Not a prophet, a messenger of god who follows his every order down to the bone, to keep a smile on my face irregardless. Neither a devil who lives for death, overwhelmed by power, greed and temptation, falling and embracing the notion of insanity."

The man chuckled,"Do you know who I am?"

"Who?"

"I am the sword's ego, my body created by the best blacksmith and imbued with life from Goddess Trinity. Only the best can wield my to my true power hidden within."

"Even if I have to give up my very soul, I will force you to submit to me."

"Hoho? Well said. Let's see if you can back up those words yes? I'll tone my power down for a girlie like you. We don't want you dying anytime soon do we?"

The man chuckled and disappeared.

Soon after, the sword started to float in mid air.

"All you need to do is defeat me." A voice came from the sword.

"Come." Gracie said quietly.

Then, the sword spun, causing a massive explosion as it cut through everything effortlessly.

A massive blow was felt through the building as most of it collapsed.

Within the rubble were Gracie and the sword.

"[Grasping Vines]!"

Vines grew from the ground, entrapping the sword.

"Weak." The voice sounded as the vines were burnt away by black flames.
