Never in Love

"Okay so you have to remember to strike when I'm open." I say mustering up as much emotion in me as I possibly could.

I wonder what Hestia's doing right now?

Ahh man, I really thought this would be a good idea.

Maybe Gracie and I can fake our deaths?

That would be too much work, ugh.

"Mum? I have a question. What if I..."

I drown out her voice completely, my mind wandering off to what everyone's doing.

I see Hades torturing some damned souls, man that time was fun, I should make time to play around later.

Hestia's off making some really cool gadget.

Vulcan's off playing around on his volcano planet, making stones fall on the inhabitants, typical immature rage.

"Screw this." I spout, my Daughter looks at me confused.

"Away with all of you. My romanticism of love can only go so far. It's like I always said, I can't learn to love. I can only fake it. Ah man, these fourth two years were a pretty good run. It's been fun, now I need a new fix." I declare.

"Mum what are you talking abou-"

I snap my fingers, finding myself a distance away as I crush Earth alongside everyone there.

Shrugging, Belle wandered away, completely unfazed by the death of her own Wife, children and friends.

Destiny Bell.

"Huh. I'm really not affected in the slightest. Am I really that unfeeling? I thought I actually fell in love for a moment with her. Guess not. Shouldn't my chest be constricting and hurting like a lot? Shouldn't I be on my knees begging for her back? Oh wait- I can bring her back anytime! It's just that I can't be bothered to!" I laugh.

"I guess I was right about my assumption after all. As long as I'm a goddess, I can never truly experience love huh? We're all just a bunch of stupidly strong individuals that can't quite care enough about anyone other than ourselves. It's the only thing power can't buy me huh?" I stare at the vast expanse of emptiness, littered with stars and planets on the horizon.

"How stupid was I? I'm worse than a bad guy yet people love me. I killed my parents, my siblings, my mentor for the sake of power. I killed all my allies to ascend the hierarchy. I've killed, so many that I feel nothing. Not even numbness." I look down at my hands,"These hands of mine. They've been bathed in so much blood. Yet I here I stand, the absolute unreachable apex. Untouchable by anyone besides me. Not bad. Not bad at all Belle Trinity. The last sixty or so years with them have been fun. Now, it's time for something else. Something fresh! New and exciting! Sure they entertained me. But I got bored with them." I say out loud,"Haaaah...What should I play next?"

"I've lived longer than all the gods and goddess combined. If I get fazed over the death of a person I was desperately trying to love, I'd be unfit to be called the Queen of the gods." She muttered,"Now! I need a new fix. Let's see who's free...Liber!"

A young man wearing an assortment of clothing appeared with a joyful yet weathered smile,"Ah, Belle. It is always a pleasure to see you. What do you need?"

"I'm bored again. You and Hestia always have the best ideas. Any new ones?"

Liber nods,"Actually, I do! Why not experience the adrenaline rushing through you again by becoming almost the same as a human! If you temporarily blocked off your memory and sealed your power, you could become a human. Then you could experience it until the seal wears off!"

Belle's eyes twinkled brighter than stars in the sky,"Excellent suggestion! I can't believe I didn't think of that! Ah! Truly marvellous! This is perfect! Thank you Liber!"

"As always, your happiness is all that matters to me. I am overjoyed that you are happy with my suggestion. I shall take my leave."

I nod dismissively, my mind speeding to my deepest recess to find the perfect setting for my little adventure.

I zeroed in on a planet.

"Not too developed...Managed to nearly travel twice the speed of sound...Magic has been discovered is in infancy stages...Hm...Not bad. I'll take it! [Divinity Clones]."

As I chanted, several hundred complete replicas of me appear, weaker than me, but stronger than most gods.

Splitting my consciousness into these few hundred clones, I set to work, preparing everything.

This was going to be fun.

I guess I really am like a person on drugs eh?

Always looking for that new high to keep myself from feeling bored.

I gues that's like a part of me I can't get rid of.

"It's done! Finally! Alright. Now the final steps."

I put my hand to my chest,"[Seal Power in ten minutes]. [Release 0.000000000000001% on first ten locks]. [Release everything after hundred years]. [Induce memory loss in ten minutes. Return in a hundred years]. [No deity or higher being is allowed to interfere. Failure to comply will result in immediate execution]. [Lower beings trying to access body or sea of conscious will be immediately wiped out]. [If meant no harm within personal judgement, total paralysis for ten days]. [Lower body age to fourteen]. [Add temporary shield upon contact with planet Keresi.] [Send into deep sleep for one hour after reaching destination]. [Hide Divinity element]. [Lower level to two hundred]. [Atmos Launch]."

I feel my mana building up behind me, like an invisible wall of pure power about to burst forth at any moment.

I smile bravely,"A new adventure, here I come!"

BOOM!

I was sent flying, barreling towards my destination as words were being spoken.

[Memory loss induction in one minute].

[Power seal in in fifty eight seconds].

[Temporary shield deployed].

[Deep sleep activating].

[Arriving at destination in fifty seconds].

My eyes close as I feel my power and memory slipping from me and soon, in a matter of seconds, I'll be a completely new person.

The person I was before I became a goddess.

[Reaching in ten].

[Nine. Eight. Seven...]

"Let's hope I enjoy this. After what I planned, I better love me for this." I mutter with a slight smile as sleepiness invades me, seeping into my body as it progressively weakens.

[Three.]

[Two.]

[One.]

"Hallelujah!" I give one last triumph as I feel my body impact the ground.

[Hallelujah.]

It's time for a new adventure.

A blank slate, a new run.

I wonder...What sort of people will I find on this planet?
