A week later.
Arceus walked out of his room quite easily.
Being over level three hundred had its perks such as a quicker recovery rate from usually life-threatening attacks from both poisons and weapons.
Coming to a halt at the room adjacent to his, Arceus opened the wooden door which creaked as it opened.
Walking in, he heard a familiar female voice,"You've come."
Arceus sat down beside her, on a wooden chair beside the bed.
"How are you feeling?"' Arceus asked, pressing his hand to Gracie's forehead, making her blush.
"I'm fine Arceus, more importantly, are you okay? I heard from one of the servants that you ended up far worse than me." Gracie answered as she swatted Arceus' hands away.
Arceus shook his head,"No worries, I'm all good G. Just a few sore muscles here and there. I'll be in tip top shape in a couple of days."
Then, silence prevailed.
The two sat in complete silence.
Gracie broke the silence by saying,"I know you have questions. You're too shy to ask but please, ask away."
Arceus spoke up,"Why...why were you at the tavern? What happened to you these past few months Gracie?"
Gracie sighed,"I...I lost someone important to me...Someone I view as important as family, no- even more important than family. She was my everything, my pillar holding me up in rough times, both a teacher and a friend. I guess I lost myself in the past few months huh? Perhaps this was one of the reasons she left so suddenly...to let me be independent..."
Arceus absorbed the information,"Wow...This lady must have been quite a monumental figure in your life huh? I bet if I remembered, I would surely understand the magnitude of her power..."
Gracie nodded,"Yes. Teacher is the reason for me winning the tournament, for me even existing right now. And I've committed a taboo."
"A taboo?"
"I've...I've fallen for her." Gracie whispered almost inaudibly, however, Arceus managed to barely hear it.
His eyes widened in shock,"W-what? Y-you've fallen for her?"
Gracie softly nodded her head with a distressed look on her face.
"Gracie do you understand the complications? No- ignoring the matters regarding legality, for one, age plays a huge factor Gracie, this lady must be extremely wise and old. There's no guarantee that she'll even come back, let alone agree with your feelings."
"It is not about her. It is about me. The problems lies with me Arceus." Gracie said.
Arceus' head whirled,"You? How are you the problem?"
"Teacher...she's practically an immortal...Teacher might be inexperienced in matters of love but with everything else...She is probably the strongest being in the world. I don't know why she chose me, but I am glad she has. As for me, I only have a few thousand years left in me. I can't guarantee I'll be living by the time she comes back."
"To see her highness once more, you must trust in her! To marry her, you must trust in yourself! Only then can you find what you desire! That is all! As for this boy...he will recover fully in a few hours. I am sure of it. As for now, don't bring up the subject of her highness to anyone but me and the Faunicus Credo idiot. If you do, an intense mental strain will be placed on them and in some cases, they will die. Those were the words of the headmaster." Gracie recanted.
