"I promise..."

"I will return..."

"Already gone..."

Gracie opened her eyes and found herself in what seemed to be water.

She was barely conscious, her eyebrows drooping.

She was sinking into the depths of the water, her body unable to retaliate even if she wished to.

Just before her eyes closed, a blurry figure appeared, it was a figure of a girl with white hair...

Gracie's eyes opened again, her struggle to keep them open stronger than ever.

Gracie gasped for air, bubbles floating up, disrupting the image as it faded away into nothingness.

"Belle!" She had tried to scream, to no avail.

The water calmed down as she stopped her futile struggles.

"Gracie?...Gracie!" A familiar voice sounded in her mind.

Like a giant hand getting ahold of her, Gracie felt like she was being pulled from underwater abruptly, the weak feeling in her body apparent to her the moment she opened her eyes.

Staring blankly at the ceiling, Gracie felt that she had forgotten something.

"Gracie?" Emma's asked, as if unsure of herself.

"Emma?...What happened?..." Gracie asked groggily, trying to get up.

Emma pushed Gracie back down gently,"No. Lie down. We need to talk Gracie."

Gracie was confused,"Talk? Did something happen? Did Arceus reject you again?"

Emma sighed angrily,"I try to help and you just insult me without a care. Hmph. No this isn't about me Gracie. It's about you."

"Me? What about me?" Gracie asked.

"You know don't you G?"

"Know? Know what?"

"Her."

Gracie fell silent, the single word like an arrow through her mind.

Laughing nervously, Gracie tried to shake the anxiety off,"Ahaha...What do you mean?..."

Emma's face turned serious,"I'm not joking around Gracie." She held Gracie's shoulders firmly,"You can't just keep everything inside okay? It's not healthy. I know you think she, whoever that person is, left you because of your mistakes. It's not. I may not know a lot about your relationship but I can tell it isn't your fault."

Gracie fell silent again as she sat up, looking straight at Emma with wavering, almost quivering eyes.

Emma stared back with resolve and seriousness not commonly seen in her.

"Then tell me..." Gracie whispered as she stared up at the ceiling.

"Huh?" Emma asked in surprise.

"Tell me why she left me." Gracie whispered softly,"Why did she leave me? Everything was going so well...so why?"

Emma was left stunned,"I...I..."

Gracie laughed bitterly,"Yeah...You wouldn't know..."

"It's all because of me. It's my fault she left right? Why else would she leave?" Gracie mocked herself endlessly.

"No! That's not true!"

"Then why would she leave me without even saying goodbye, Emma? Tell me. TELL ME!" Gracie screamed,"I'm worthless. I don't even deserve her. Look at me, worrying and stressing over someone who has suitors far better than me." Gracie muttered, bitterly smiling.
