Emperyus Academy's Hall.

The new students found themselves in a hall.

Taking their seats, they waited patiently whilst taking this chance to socialise with those around them.

"How are you liking it so far?" Arceus asked.

"Mm...It's okay I guess...nothing much I guess?" Gracie replied without thinking much about the answer.

Arceus, unable to bear it any more, gathered his courage and boldly asked,"Gracie will you-"

He was cut off by a woman walking up the stage and greeting the students.

"Welcome students to Emperyus Academy! I am Melody Greyblood! Headmistress of this academy. You will be studying here for the next five to seven years so get comfortable!"

She walked around the stage, staring at the students.

"As you know, we have perpetually been stuck at second place, but fret not! I can guarantee our school will win this years as long as you can abide by four very simple conditions!" Melody shouted.

Whispers broke out at this 'secret technique' that could guarantee a win somehow.

"Firstly! Work to the bone! There is no such thing as a free meal in this world! If you want to win and get the prize and title you must work hard for it! Secondly! Attitude matters! Confidence is fine but one must remember never to underestimate an opponent! Be confident to people you can defeat and stay humble towards the strong! That is the law of this world! Thirdly! Relentless willpower! Without fighting spirit one cannot make it! You must fight! Fight! Fight!"

The speech got the students riled up.

"I myself! Am at level one thousand three hundred and two! If you wish to become strong! You! Must! Stay! Resilient!" Melody shouted loudly.

"WOAHHHHH" The enthusiastic reply came from the students.

"But most importantly! You must remember! You! Are! Not! Special!" Melody shouted.

"WOAH-?..." The cheers abruptly stopped at Melody's words.

"You can be proud of your power now but you must know, this level is nothing! Level twenty? You'd be weak outside of here! It is admirable that you can make it to twenty yourself but it is nothing to be proud of! There are quintillions of other people way better than you! Only when you reach the top! When you beat the strongest opponent, can you say you truly are strong! That is why! Come out!" Melody shouted.

From the sides, students streamed in, excited looks on their faces.

"I have called in a bunch of fifth years to show you the huge gap! Only when you realise this can you truly progressive not just your outwardly power but your character too! So without further ado, you'll be broken into batches! First batch!"

Gracie felt the chair move to the side along with Arceus and three quarters of the students.

Only one group remained.

"First up! Drew Gea! Wind and Earth affinity!" Melody shouted.

The chair of a boy disinterested into ashes.

The boy stood up confidently,"Come on then. Show me what you got."

He provocatively spoke to his seniors.
