Arc 3- Her Return
Miniature Mountain.
The trio were all set and ready to go.
"Well, this ride is gonna be quite rough. Hold on to my hand tightly and don't ever let go. Well, if you do...prepare to spend the rest of your days stuck in the lowest rung of Demonic Ascent." Belle said cheerfully as they prepared for the shunt.
Rica and Jamie nodded hastily, fully knowing this was for their own good.
Belle put out her hands behind her and Rica and Jamie each grasped one respectively.
Raising her left leg, Belle stamped down hard, breaking a shockwave and completely flattening miniature mountain.
"Full speed ahead!" Belle shouted, laughing loudly.
She was currently breaking light speed a million times over, easily passing the atmosphere holding the world together.
She was doing fine.
On the other hand, Rica and Jamie weren't doing so well, they were just barely holding it in, feeling as if a gigantic mountain had pressed onto them, suppressing them to the extreme.
Their skin feeling like it was going to peel off anytime now.
Around them, the once green scenery and clear air turned black and suffocating.
With their teeth gritted tightly, they held Belle's hands tightly, not forgetting her words.
Several seconds had passed, yet they felt like the longest seconds in the entirety duo's lives.
"Almost there! We're reaching in a matter of seconds so jus-" Belle stopped midway through her sentence, her brows furrowing in displeasure.
"That's going to be a little troublesome. I'll have to deal with it then." Belle muttered under her breath.
Seconds later, a momentary pressure hit them before disappearing completely.
For the first time in seconds, they had finally taken a relaxed sigh.
But then, when they tried to breathe, water entered their noses and mouths, making them choke.
Belle was laughing at the side, passing them two flimsy pieces of paper and making a sign to place on their faces.
They followed along with her actions.
Soon, they felt breathing became easy.
"You doing alright there?" A voice rang out.
It was Belle.
Incredulously, they realised they could hear her perfectly fine even when in water.
"It's the piece of paper I gave you just now. It's called [Clarity]. Gives immunity to poisons and stuff, clears all your senses and gives certain perks, breathing, talking and hearing underwater being a few." Belle explained to the confused couple.
"Have we...reached Oceanic Ree-" Rica was cut off by a loud growl.
Turning their heads, they saw a small village under water of course.
The only small worrying problem was...it was being destroyed by these creatures.
Creatures from Rica and Jamie's childhood stories.
Mermaids and Mermen.
They were nothing like the stories of gentle creatures in stories.
Before them, was a group of them pillaging the village and killing villagers left and right with a smile, their eyes- all with an evil glint within.
