"Say Hestia..." Belle said.
"Yes Belle?" Hestia asked.
The two goddesses were having a friendly chat at a common tea house, away from the hectic life of playing god.
"I've been thinking...this divine armament..." Belle said,"Wait! Before you go rambling for another seven hundred years!"
Hestia who was about to talk excitedly about new breakthroughs in her work as the goddess under Belle who was in charge of technology advancement in the world, shut her mouth with a regretful work.
"We've created divine armaments with designs based on swords...bows and even some bits of armour right?" Belle asked as she rested her head on the table, looking up at Hestia.
"Hm...yeah. That sums up most of it. Variations of swords, bows, armour, gauntlets made to hold and transfer mana to change into raw destructive power, to improve speed of projectiles and the like." Hestia spoke absentmindedly as she thought of the things done.
"I've been thinking...should we proceed with Valk VII?" Belle asked.
Hestia who had a somewhat gloomy look after being forced not to talk about divine armaments suddenly glowed with a gigantic grin on her face, jolting up from her seat, scaring the already staring people nearby.
"Haha! I knew it! I knew you'd fall for its sleek design someday! This is it!" Hestia shouted.
Realising the scene she had made, Hestia apologised and sat down.
"Well how did the prototype work?" Hestia asked.
"Its fine on her. Works as if it were an actual arm. Performance is fluid, reaction speed about point five times better than the previous one. Haven't taught her the modifiers we added though." Belle replied.
"Then...we make it out of starus again?" Hestia asked.
"Our recent works like [Dancing Obsidian] and [Valkyrie] have been using starus and its getting boring don't you think?" Belle said.
"Yeah kinda...If we're going to make this, it's gotta be the best of the best. We have to make it the strongest ever!" Hestia replied with a determined face.
Belle smiled,"Exactly...so after quite a while...I managed to...create a small blob of this..."
Belle pulled out a small diamond-shaped gemstone that had a soft orange glow to it.
It was about the size of a pinky finger.
Hestia, upon seeing the gem, opened her mouth in surprise, making an 'O' shape.
"E-emperydite! It's the emperydite! In the flesh!"
Belle tossed it to Hestia who caught it frantically.
She looked at it as if it were the greatest thing that had ever existed.
"T-this! We're using this?" Hestia asked in an excited voice, her body trembling.
Belle smiled as she nodded, leaning back she said,"That thing took quite a bit to make you know? I got some pairing metals to go with it. I also want to incorporate the eight orbs I made previously too..."
