The Next Day.
"Shall we go?" Arceus enquired, inviting Gracie out of the castle.
He had invited her to the castle the previous day after learning of her situation.
"Sure," Gracie replied, following Arceus.
Walking out the main gate, Arceus stopped the servants from preparing a carriage and they left promptly.
"What do you suppose people there are like?" Gracie asked.
"What do you mean?" Arceus asked, confused.
"I mean Emperyus has lost a full ten years in a row...surely their attitude would have undergone severe change seeing that one has to stay registered at said chosen school for a minimum of five years and a maximum of seven before they can leave legally." Gracie pointed out.
"I wouldn't think them arrogant nor timid...the first and second years would probably be quite prideful and arrogant? The older students would probably be either extremely prideful or kind or introverted I guess..." Arecus scratched his head as he thought of it.
"Hm..."
Unknowingly, they had both arrived at the selection area after chatting for a while along the way.
Upon seeing Gracie and Arceus, the representatives almost literally jumped on them, forcing the man testing the people to stop the selection temporarily.
The attendees were confused at the representatives' weird behaviour but they had the underlying assumption that strong people were extremely eccentric.
"Ah! Your highness and Miss Valencia! We are so glad that you have come back to tell us of your choice so quickly!" The Grand Magistrate representative spoke arrogantly, angering the rest of the representatives.
"Yes, yes! We must know of your answer! So who have you chosen?" Again, the Grand Magistrate representative had pridefully asked, almost as of he had thought they would choose his side.
The others representatives nodded excitedly, quickly ignoring the Grand Magistrate representative's behaviour.
Gracie cleared her throat, heightening the already tense atmosphere.
"We choose the Em-" Before she could finish, she was cut off by the Grand Magistrate representative.
"See! I told you all she would choose us!" He shouted, laughing uproariously,"You fools think you can compete with us? All geniuses choose us! We are number one you hear me? You can never achieve what we have!"
The others sighed resignedly as they saw that the Grand Magistrate had gotten their way already.
They had already expected this outcome but were holding on to the small hope that she would pick another one, just not the Grand Magistrate.
Gracie glared at the man,"Ahem! I was interrupted. What I meant to say was that I choose the Emperyus Academy."
The Emperyus Academy representative froze for a while before regaining her senses,"W-what did you say?"
Gracie smiled,"I pick Emperyus Academy."
The Grand Magistrate representative's eyes widened,"Hahaha! Perhaps you have mixed up the school names! It is a common mistake! Did you mean to say the Grand Magistrate?"
Gracie shook her head innocently, batting her eyelashes as she stared at him,"No sir. I am sure of it. Surely Emperyus Academy the one that is second in place?"
