Arc 4- Cresendo

Beast Plains.

The group appeared on the outskirts of an unknown village.

Lisa and Jeremiah, upon opening their eyes saw the strangest yet most amazing sight they had ever seen.

They were seeing the world apart from the water.

They were breathing air!

Looking down, they saw not tails- but legs!

Human legs!

Jeremiah stood there, stunned.

"I-is this real?" He stuttered,"My gods...this is..." He touched his legs gently and felt them.

The muscles undulating as he tensed up.

Then, from the skies, a piece of white paper floated down, landing on the floor next to Dornicus.

Dornicus picked it up and read it out loud,"To my beloved rivals: Hello! Belle here! I am sure Jeremiah and Lisa have received their gifts? Well I can promise more gifts will come soon! All you need to do is do certain things in certain ways...Anyway that's not the main point! I'm sure you all need information on how to speak the language here as well as directions yes? Just say the word Lyke for my personally prepared gift! And just to fill you in, Oceania Reefs almost no more! I'm about to see that idiot king die before my eyes, ripped to shreds and demolished alongside two honourable idiots! Oh I am loving this! Remember, if you disappoint me...I'll come up with new and creative ways to keep you hating me more and more! I won't attack for the next few years so prepare well my little lambs! Sincerely, Your Worst Nightmare, Belle" Dornicus finished, holding the paper to read again.

"Does it say anything else?" Rica asked as she helped Lisa, who was still getting used to walking, up.

Dornicus took another look at the paper,"Well let's see...there's a line of X's and O's in red at the bottom and a heart drawn in blood..."

"Disgusting." Lisa said as she stumbled again.

Lisa turned to Jeremiah, hoping to see his failing as badly as she was, only to see him kneeling down and praying.

"What are you praying to?" She asked.

"Her."

"Why? She killed so many...of us..."

"We must be grateful when we are given something, be it from a friend or enemy. To show thanks is a basic form of thanks or respect towards them."

"Well, I will say what she has told us to, if anything goes wrong, run." Nathan said.

The rest quietened down in agreement.

"Wait!" Jamie shouted,"I should say it. If this is another trick to get you to fall under her control, it won't work on me."

"Go on then." Nathan said.

"Lyke."

Jamie uttered the word and his eyes flashed red for a split second before returning to their normal hue.

"She kept her word. It is information on this place." Jamie said as the others sighed in relief, they had seen enough bloodshed for a lifetime.

The others spoke the word and immediately, information filled their minds, the language of the beasts became a fluent second tongue for them.

The Beast Plains, home to the race known as the Accutines, better referred to as the Beast race.

They were part human, part animal hybrids.
