"[Fireball]! Go!" Joel hurled yet another spell at a wolf, injuring it badly.
In the course of a few intense hours of training and body conditioning, his fireball had turned from a useless ball that served as a distraction to deal a blow to a Long ranged weapon that served as a strike to cripple or wound the wolf.
"Nice one!' Ryan huffed as he slammed his pommel on the wolf's head, effectively cracking it's skull.
Their rate of growing in power was exponential and their stamina, magic affinity and strength were greatly rising over a short period of time.
'That's the last one for the day I suppose. It's evening already. How much you think the rest got?" Joel asked.
"Dunno. Guess we'll find out soon 'nough." Ryan replied.
Reaching the regrouping point, they found everyone already there.
"Welcome back guys! How much did you get?" Matthew asked enthusiastically.
"Bout twenty or so..." Ryan replied.
Matthew breathed out in awe,"You topped Lucas' group by five. Your improvement's quite obvious. Not bad, not bad. Keep it up."
The two nodded and sat down, exhausted from the intensive work.
"Damn. Joel, Ryan, I didn't know you were that good." Lucas came up and said, offering his congratulations.
"Nah, we were just lucky is all. Still, this is pretty fun..." Ryan said.
"Right? At this rate, we'll be able to become strong enough to help out these innocent people and protect them from evil!" Lucas shouted, making the group feel lighter even after fighting for a day.
"Right guys we should be heading bac-" Arceus was cut off by Gracie pushing Arceus away.
BAM!
Arceus slammed into a tree painfully.
"What the hell?" Arceus opened his eyes to see a small crater where he once stood, smoke rising from it.
Gracie, the quiet, seemingly harmless girl that wasn't seen for the entire day had made an appearance.
She was holding a black sword, a gigantic chimera beside her growling menacingly.
Before them was a rabbit.
No, not a normal small rabbit, but a towering figure at over three meters radiating a menacing aura of sure death if one of them was even lightly brushed by it.
This beast, was the Devouring Rabbit.
"Stay back! A! Get them away!" Gracie roared at Arceus.
"Roger!" Arceus shouted."Get back! Avoid the beast at all costs!"
Gracie lashed out with her sword,"[Night's Scorn]. [Accelerate]. [Lightning Speed]. [Icy Flames]. [Sorrow Blade]. [Curse of Slowing]. [Light's Charm]. [Windy Steps]. [Winding Blades]. [Thunder Aura]. [Raging Hellfire]." Gracie chanted, one of her special abilities that was only limited to her, multi-spell casting.
As long as she had enough mana to keep the spells up, she could stack the spells.
A bloody aura of death exploded forth from her slim,p yet muscular physique, rising to terrifying levels that made one's hair truly stand on edge.
