Main Arc 2, Arc 1- Rebirth

"Just a bit more your highness!"

The sound of the maid helping Ada through the rough period could be heard through the wall.

Gaius could only pace the hallway outside anxiously, his friends looking at him amusedly.

"Gally, not looking too fine today eh? Didn't I hear you say something about who would get so nervous over a child?" His friend, Andrew stated smugly, folding his arms.

"Oh hush you! I didn't expect it to be this jarring even after three times!" Gaius spoke nervously, a tone of worry in his voice.

"Oh don't worry you big oaf! Your wife's one of the strongest in the kingdom! A little childbirth won't bring her down. It's just like the last three times!" Barry, another of Gaius' colleagues said.

Gaius could only pace anxiously as he waited for the news.

Soon, the cries stopped and the door opened.

The maid popped her head out the door,"Congratulations your Majesty! It's a beautiful girl!"

The door opened and there his beautiful wife, Rose laid with an infant in her hands.

"She's beautiful..." Gaius murmured as he sat beside Rose.

"Indeed she is honey. Look at how quiet she is! So obedient and lovely!" Rose whispered, tickling the baby, making it giggle.

"Can I hold her?" Gaius asked shyly.

"She's all yours." Rose smiled as she passed the infant to Gaius.

"What shall we name this little vixen?" Rose asked.

"Gracie. Gracie Rosette Bellot Valencia." Gaius whispered, the name popping to his mind as if he had been thinking it all along.

"It's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. Very fitting my lovely husband."

Gaius smiled contentedly.

A few years later...

Gracie had turned eleven in the blink of an eye.

Gracie was at the training field, training with her father alongside her brothers and sister.

She was learning a sword art from her father.

"Remember Gracie! Agility is a lady's best trait! Dodge instead of parrying! Evade attacks nimbly! Attack when you see opportunity! That is the way of your mother's legendary sword art [Formless Oppression]!" His father shouted as he thrusted his sword forward, feinting left.

Gracie dodged sideways, easily evading the sword as she attacked him from downwards.

Seeing the incoming attack, Gaius twisted his body, performing a somersault and landing perfect behind Gracie.

Before she could move, she felt the wooden sword press onto her neck.

"I concede father! You are just too agile and strong! It's not fair!" Gracie pouted.

Gaius smiled,"You're getting better everyday my dear, now if your incompetent brothers could wield a sword or had half a mind to become an elementalist, i'd be much happier." Gaius replied loudly.

"Father...we just don't think the sword is necessary in studies!" Gracie's older brother, Ryder protested.

"Yes! We are people who value words over fists! They say 'Words are sharper than Swords'!" Gracie's second brother, Nicholas replied haughtily.
