(First off, I want to thank you all for getting this book to 100k+ reads. Seriously. None of that would be there if not for you guys. You all mean so much to me. Thank you for getting me this far! Let's shoot for another 100k, shall we?

Anyways, this prompt was given to me by @DABOOMDOTCOM. Thanks for the good prompt I fell in love it!

It broke the mold, surprisingly!
And, guess what?
Its fluff.
Enjoy and thanks again! And sorry about the long title!)

Tord was the Red Leader, leader of the Red Army. Everyone knew that. He was well known, either for being a tyrant or for being a guy to get along with. There seemed to be no in between. He ran the army with his boyfriend, Tom, at his side. He loved Tom a lot and did literally everything for him. He tried his best to protect him no matter what, whether it just be in the base or on the battlefield. Tom loved him as well  and tried to stop him from doing dangerous things, but Tord always said that he had to do those for his army and to keep Tom safe.
After a few years of being together, Tord wanted to propose to Tom. He loved him dearly and wished to spend his whole life with him. So, the leader bought an engagement ring and kept it in his pocket, waiting for the right moment to propose to Tom.

One day, he eventually worked up the courage to ask Tom the question and either get rejected and be depressed until he killed himself or happy for the rest of his life. When he went to ask the Brit, though, the army got called into a battle. So, instead, he decided to compromise. He would ask Tom to marry him on the battlefield. Maybe that would make it more likely for Tom to say yes, since the Brit always was nervous about one of them dying or being hurt on the battlefield. So, they got to the battlefield and split up at first, Tord kissing the top of Tom's head as he waved goodbye and tread across the field.
After a while, Tord was confided his army would win. Everything was going great. His side was winning and the other side's soldiers depleting in numbers. He spotted Tom across the battlefield and smiled, starting to sing a song to himself, softly. He wasn't scared, at all, for he had been in this situation many times before.

"Take my hand..." he mumbled and dropped his gun, looking around for a money. Barely any gunfire. Perfect.
"Take my whole life too..." he continued to mumble and walked out from behind his hiding spot.
"For I... cant help... falling in love with you." Tord ran over to Tom, grabbing the box from his pocket. He slid down onto one knee once he reached the Brit, who looked at him confused. Tord grinned.

"Babe, I know this is sudden. But I love you so much and if I don't do this right now, I never will. So, Thomas, it's quick but, will you marry me, love?" He asked, holding up the ring. Tom's eyes went white for a moment and he opened his mouth to say his response.

Tord wasn't watching where he was. Before he could hear Tom's words, he heard a gunshot and felt pain in there side of his chest. He fell over, his world quickly filling with black.

Tom's eyes stayed white and fears pinpricked his eyes as he looked at his boyfriend, shot to death, in he dirt right in front of him. He instantly stared crying and leaned over he body, not caring if he was out in the open. He just kept mumbling 'yes' over and over again, even if the love of his life would never be able to hear it.

(HaH you thought it was fully fluff, huh?
I'm sorry, I misled you.
I said it broke the mold.
And the mold I didn't ever go to was fluff with a dark turn.
So here.
I'm sorry for all the people I broke.)
