((A/N) Alright, are you ready for some Daddy Donnie fluff? I am!💕)
- while you're pregnant he would alway be by your side
- with a baby monitor even
- just to be sure that everything is okay
- and he could hear the heartbeat
- when he first heard it, he almost fainted
- he never saw himself as a father (mainly cause his head is always in his experiments and he doesn't have time) but when you told him, he was over the moon
- he would often bend down (or kneel in front of you) to talk to the baby
- but donnie it can't hear you yet
- I DON'T CARE I NEED TO TELL HIM THAT I LOVE HIM
- him?
- OR HER I DON'T MIND
- he was sometime a nervous wreck about it
- what if something goes wrong?
- he took your mood swings like a champ
- he even build everything on his own
- and the crib was beautiful
- when it came to learning about the baby (and chaining diapers) he wasn't so excited
- the thought of poop explosions made him cringe
- but he didn't show it
- he loved that child before it was born okay? that poop shouldn't bother him
- also, he lived in the sewers for god's sake
- he would ask Raph to knit something for the baby
- childbirth was scary for him
- the blood, the pressing, you screaming
- but he didn't leave your side once
- always patted you, kissed your forehead and told you everything will be fine
- when you baby was placed on your chest, he cried a little
- it was so beautiful
- and it has his eyes
- form the minute it was born, he turned into protective Donnie
- and when Mikey wanted to hold it, he almost freaked out
- he'd say a lot of "don't drop her / him"
- he'd cuddle soooooo often with her / him
- he even took some time off in the lab
- just to be close to both of you
- and he loved bath time
- he once even took her / him to the shower with him
- he / she loved it but had a poop explosion
- he sighed and cleaned it off
- then he bopped her / his little nose and said "mommy doesn't need to know about this, okay?"
- he'd read to her / him all the time
- especially technical stuff, so they could be prepared for the future
- he'd be the guy who buys a star for his child
- it might be expensive but he didn't care
- also, he would love it when the little one slept on his plastron
- with a little drool
- he thought it was adorable
- also, both of them sleeping (he on his shell, your baby on his plastron, belly down) was the cutest thing ever
- they had the same facial expressions when sleeping
