((A/N) I've never written some soulmate AU. So we'll see how this works. Also, this is Leo's POV, something new as well. Hope you like it 💕)
It's been a normal, boring night in New York. My brothers and I have been on patrol for most of the night and all of us grew tired of it. Nothing really happened and if it did if was just some lying boy stealing things here and there. Nothing to gear up for. It was usually enough to just been seen waving our weapons and they'd run away.
All of us where slowly getting frustrated, not only because we had nothing to do but also with other circumstances. None of us has found there soulmate yet and living in a world that's just black and white is ... shitty.
"Let's go home guys", I said.
"Do you think we can get pizza before we had home?", Mikey asked, giving me puppy eyes.
"I guess", I replied, only now noticing how hungry I actually was.
"If you eat more than the slices you're supposed to Mikey, I will kill you", Raph said.
"Eat me", Mikey laughed and starting to run.
I took a quick glance at Donnie who just shrugged.
"If we're fast we can actually still make it. It's not that late yet and there are still a few restaurants open", he then said.
"Alright, let's do this", I nodded and followed Raph and Mikey.
We met in front of an Italian restaurant. Nowadays people were a little more used to humans, some even owned shops, so it was okay for us to be seen. While Mikey and Raph were arguing about what kind of pizza to get and Donnie playing with her phone I heard some voices inside the restaurant. Don was actually right, some people were still awake, eating, having a good time.
I heard a female voice and I don't know why but it sounded so attractive. She was talking and laughing and I really wanted to see who that was. I took a step closer to the door, just a little, too see if I can hear more. I wanted to burst in and talk to her but I needed to calm down. My brothers gave me a weird look when I placed my head on the wall but I didn't care. As soon as my head touched it I felt a sharp pain in my face, or my head I wasn't sure. It's like I was seeing lighting, stars, everything combined.
"Leo!! Are you okay?", Donnie asked.
Everyone looked at me. Worried. It's not usual for me to show pain or emotions but when I did everyone was concerned.
"I think so. Do you want the pizza or not?", I asked trying to get the attention away from me.
"HELL YES", Mikey screamed.
We walked into the restaurant and people started to look at us. Yeah people were used to us but it was still a rare sight.
I heard that voice again, coming from the back of the room where the kitchen was. She was talking to someone, something about pasta and al dente but I didn't care. My head was hurting again. The door opened and out came a beautiful girl with a huge smile win her face. Our eyes met and we simultaneously scrunched our faces in pain.
