Since your boyfriend, Jeno, was finally allowed to stay out, you both decided to go to the midnight screening of the newest horror film. You both have been waiting for the movie to come out since the trailer was released so you had to see it as soon as possible.
When you arrived at the theater, you both went to get popcorn and drinks. As Jeno ordered, you got distracted by the surrounding movie posters. You walked toward them, looking at each individual one. In the corner of your eye, you see a figure that resembled Jeno, looking around. You turn and there he was, trying to find you. He meets your gaze and makes his way over, you carefully grabbing a tub of popcorn from him.
You make it inside the theater room and watch through the trailers. The movie was finally starting and throughout the film, you both would clutch each other's hands during the jump scares. He denies that he got scared but you knew that he was just as scared as you were. You would hide your face inside the crook of his neck, and every time a blush swept his cheeks at the act.
After the movie ended, he drove you home and stayed for the night. You tried to fall asleep but you would have nightmare after nightmare. Figuring that sleep wasn't an option for you, you turned to see if Jeno was asleep. To your luck, he was wide awake just like you. You both decided to watch a comedy special because you both needed to feel better. You spent the wee hours of the early morning giggling away. Somewhere around 5 or 6 am you both fell asleep and woke up in the early afternoon.
Surprisingly, Jeno stayed with you for the rest of the afternoon. You told him that after you had brunch he could go home but he didn't want to leave just yet. His reasoning was that he might have to fight the "evil spirits trying to haunt you." You jokingly called him your knight in shining armor but he really was. You couldn't have asked for a better person to watch a scary movie with, even though he was just as scared as you.
