[Forgetting Something?] || Joshua

Joshua has a lot running through his mind, which leds him to forget things from time to time. Especially when it's comeback season, his brain is mainly focused for that event. Whenever this happens, he tends to forget things. He'll leave his charger in the practice room, his wallet in the studio. Just about any of his essentials he's left behind somewhere.

Luckily he was spending the weekend with you so you would make sure that he would remember everything. You would go to dance rehearsal with him so you two would still be spending time plus you got to see the choreography before anyone else so that was a bonus. You two had a game night and any indoor activity that you didn't have the chance to do before.

When it was the end of the weekend, you were positive that the next morning, everything would be smooth sailing. You helped him repack his bag the night before, not wanting him to forget anything like he has in the past.

While he was getting ready, you made breakfast for the both of you since he didn't have to rush to the studio. As you two finished up, Joshua got a call saying that they need him at the studio. He looked across the table with a frown, not wanting to leave you just yet.

"Joshua, I know you don't want to leave me behind but you need to go record."

"I know but still..."

"You don't want to keep them waiting. You know the guys will tease you for being late, especially since you spent the weekend with me."

"That is very true."

"Yes it is, so up your butt and get your stuff."

"It sounds like you want me to leave."

"Contrary to popular belief, I actually don't want you to but since your comeback is approaching, I want you to be fully focused and give your best."

You collected the dishes and as you were going to wash them but Joshua insisted that he can wash them before he leaves. You say that he's just trying to buy time to stay but he denies such a thing. In the meantime, you went to get his belongings. You see that he left his keys on your bedside table and hid them in your right hand. You head back to where he was and see that he's putting on his shoes.

"Well babe, duty calls."

"Unfortunately so." You say while handing him his bag.

"Oh, so now you miss me?"

"Eh, not really."

"Alright then since you don't miss me, I guess I'll be leaving now."

"Love you too Joshua."

"Love you." He says as he opens the door and starts to walk away.

You start to shake your head, knowing he would forget his keys.

"Hey Joshua!" He turns around at the calling of his name.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" You ask with a quirk of the eyebrow.

He ponders for a moment before dropping his bag and making his way up to you once again. He leans in and gives you a big kiss. When he pulls away, you stare at him in shock, blinking in confusion. Not trusting your words, you open your palm and show him his keys.

"Oh I forgot my keys? My bad."

"Y-you're good."

"I'll let you know when I reach the studio, okay?"

You were still speechless so you just nodded your head.

"Bye honey."

You waved goodbye and waited until he was no longer in site to go back inside. After closing the door, you muttered to yourself, 'That boy is really something.' And that he is, but you wouldn't have it any other way.
