[Threate Kids] || Seokmin

It's that time of year where auditions for the school production are starting to take place. Your best friend, Seokmin was known for his singing and acting capabilities. Whenever it was this time of year, everyone would ask him to audition. He would always feel shy but with you cheering him on and helping him rehearse, he was the performer he was destined to be. This year's production was one of your favorites and Seokmin begged you to audition with him.

"But why?"

"Isn't it one of your favorites?"

"It is but I still don't see the purpose of auditioning when I can just watch it."

"Because you can experience it for real! Plus I'm auditioning too!"

After a moment of silence and watching him beg with puppy dog eyes, you finally agree.

"I hate you, you know that?" You said with a smile.

"Love you too." He said while squishing you in a hug.

It was finally the day of the audition and you were very nervous to say the least.

"You doing okay?"

"Nope."

"It'll just be like you helping me practice."

"Yes except people are watching me too."

"I heard it's paired auditions so we can do it together."

"We better do this together I swear-"

You didn't get to finish your statement as they started calling people for the audition process. You felt like you could have done better but Seokmin wouldn't let you downplay yourself. He insisted that you were the absolute best for the role and that if you didn't get it, he would start a riot.

"Seok, you're not going to be starting anything."

"I will if deemed necessary."

One week later, the cast list was posted and it wasn't a surprise that Seokmin was on that list, but you were definitely surprised to see yourself on there.

"I made it in?"

"I-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence."

He quickly closed his mouth, not wanting to face your rage.

"Anyways, maybe this will turn out alright. We'll get to spend more time together!"

His eyes light up at the realization. Typically when he was in these plays, you wouldn't see each other often as he had to practice. Now you two can be together for a longer period of time. He starts jumping up and down and you copy his actions.

With you two being casted as the lead roles, you had a lot on your plate. There were a lot of moments of worry and self doubt but Seokmin was always there to remind you that he's with you the entire time.

After many weeks of rehearsal, it was finally show day. It felt strange because you're used to being in the audience cheering on Seokmin but now you'll be on stage with him. He felt your nerves and came up to you, holding your hands.

"You're going to do great."

"That's easier said than done."

"I know but trust me, you'll be excellent. Better than me I'd say."

"Now Seokmin-"

You were cut off by the director wanting to do a group cheer before the production would go into full swing. You gave each one last big hug before starting the show. After completing the last scene, you felt very relieved. As you held his hand before the final bow, you looked at him with the biggest grin you could muster. He gave you an equally bright smile and you both bowed with the rest of the cast. As you all walked off stage, you were congratulating everyone on a job well done. You scurried to where your stuff was to get the bouquet of flowers you always give Seokmin after his shows. To your surprise, when you handed him his bouquet, he handed you one as well.

"You got me flowers?"

"I mean it's only fair since you've always gotten them for me."

"Thank you so much, they're beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you."

You bit the inside of your cheeks, embarrassed by how that affected you.

"Anywho, are we still keeping tradition with post show dinner?"

"Yes and I'm paying this time."

"You pay every time though."

"And I'll keep paying every time. Now come on, let's go eat."

You two had a delicious dinner and in that moment, you felt so lucky to have someone like him by your side.
