You and Mark were that couple where you fill each other in on the work drama. You nicknamed it 'tea time' and whenever one of you texted that phrase to the other, you both knew you would be in for a story.

Today was no different. You texted Mark and he was already home, waiting for your beloved tea time. You got home as quickly as possible and as soon as you stepped in and closed the door, Mark was on the couch, ready for your story.

"Tea time?"

"Tea time but let me change first."

"You can talk while changing."

"You're right, let's go then."

He follows you to your shared room and sits down on the bed.

"Alright so get this..." You start to tell the story as you change out of your work clothes. This process doesn't take long but when you're talking, it can last a bit. You would fill him in, turning around face him time to time.

As you continued, Mark's mind slowly started to wonder. His thoughts were clouded with images and feelings for you. He watched as you moved around the room, taking in your habits and behaviors. He has love in his eyes and he didn't even notice that you stopped talking. You realized that he had gotten quiet because he usually has reactions and comments. You go to wave your hand infront of his face and he flinched.

"You good Mark?"

"What happened?"

"I don't know, you just stopped responding after a while so I was wondering what happened to you."

"I guess I got distracted by how cute you are." He says, leaning back on his elbows trying to smirk. You two exchange a look before bursting into laughter. You ended falling onto the bed, clutching your stomach. After your laughter ceased, you asked Mark if he wanted you to repeat the story for him, to which he says yes.

"You're going to pay attention this time?"

"I'll try my best."

And with that, he did focus on you and the story. You will always look forward to the next tea time.
