[Eyes Off You] || Wooyoung

You were in your senior year of high school and one of the things you were looking forward to most was the senior showcase. You were one of the captain's of the dance team and you've been blessed to have solos during your time here but this time, you want to do something different. You've never done a duo piece with anyone before and you knew exactly who you wanted to do it with. That person being none other than your other captain, Wooyoung.

"You want to do a duo piece? With me?"

"I mean you don't have to because I imagine-"

"Of course I'll do it!"

You stared at him in surprise before breaking into a wide grin. You jumped for joy and Wooyoung started to jump with you.

"We're gonna be partners! We're gonna be partners!" Wooyoung said in a sing song voice.

You still had months to prepare but knowing the two of you, you both wanted it to be the best of the best. When you first met up at the studio, you listened to each other's song choices but to no avail, you couldn't agree on one.

"There has to be a song we can use." You can tell Wooyoung was getting annoyed because he wanted to start working right away.

You start scrolling your songs once again and see "Eyes Off You" by PrettyMuch. When you first heard the song, you imagined yourself doing a dance to it but you were hesitant about actually voicing it. You decided to swallow down your nerves and play the song for Wooyoung. You watch his reaction for the entirety of the song and after it ends, he shoots up from his seated position. You stare at him, wondering what he'll do next.

"What are you waiting for? We have a dance to make."

He extends his hand to you and you smile up at him, taking his hand for him to pull you up and start working. You went verse by verse and by the end of the month, you had the whole choreography done. You two would meet every week to do practice runs, making sure that the dance is perfect for the showcase.

Fast forward to the day of the showcase and to say you were nervous was an understatement. During these few months of practice with Wooyoung, your feelings for him have heavily blossomed. You imagined doing this song with him when you first heard it and for it to be coming true makes you so happy.

You two were closing out the show and right before you went on, Wooyoung said he had a surprise for you. Your mind started to race with the possibilities but you quickly shook it off to focus on the dance. Once the music started, you two danced in harmony with one other.

Like Wooyoung said, he did have a surprise and boy was it a big one. After the last chorus where he spins you in his arms, you two stare at each other like you planned. The thing is, you weren't expecting Wooyoung to grab your face and press a kiss to your lips. You freeze for a quick moment before reciprocating. You pull away and he lifts up and spins you around until the song comes to an end. You were in your own little world with Wooyoung that you barely notice the loud applause. You two bow to them and your dance team runs out, handing you both flowers.

You can't believe that Wooyoung did that but that was a lovely surprise. Your heart swelling at the fact that he feels the same way as you do.
