I hear Draco run up to me. "Olivia please talk to me." He says grabbing my arm. "There is nothing to talk about Draco, you had no reason to punch him like that! Like I said, I am perfectly capable to stand up for myself." I say disappointed in him, I thought he had chanced. "I am sorry ok?" he says. "It's whatever, besides we aren't a thing anymore so I guess you can do what ever you want." I say, making his eyes scream sadness. "I don't want there to be nothing between us." he says to my surprise. "You what?" "You heard me, I want to be back together, not caring what anyone thinks of it." he says grabbing my face with both his hands. Looking straight into my soul. "Draco, I-" "Please don't say that." "You don't even know what I was going to say." "I know but it doesn't feel like it is a good thing you are going to say." he says, I must admit, it isn't a good thing. "It isn't, but I need to say this. Look, I really like you, I do. But I am not in the right place to be in a relationship. I was being abused at home by my mothers boyfriend and it hurts. My whole body still hurts from it." I say and I lift up my sleeves to show him the bruises and the couple scares Andrew gave me. Draco places his fingers on my arm and strokes it. I cringe as he does so, I pull my arm away. "I am so sorry you had to go through this. I had no idea." "I know, no one did, still no one does. Except you and Hermione." "Is your mother still with him." I nod feeling the tears come again. Gosh I cry way to much. "We need to do something." he says pulling me into his arms and holding me tight, boy did I miss being in his arms. "I know, but what?" I say into his chest. "I don't know." he says. "Hermione said talk to Dumbledore. But I don't want to." I say. "I think that is a good idea. And I understand you don't want to but I feel like we need to, to save your mom. If it makes you feel better I will come with you, we can ask Hermione to come too." "I really don't want to Draco." "I know, and we don't have to do it right now. We can do it after dinner. So you can relax the rest the day, you must be exhausted." "I am, I really am god you have no idea." I say. He kisses the top of my head and lets go of me. I give him a quick kiss on his lips. I needed to, it's been to long. "Sorry, I know I said I am not ready for a relationship, and now I kiss you." I say regretting it right after. "It is ok, now go to your room and get some rest." he says, I do as I have been told and go to my room and lay on my bed. Feeling my eyes getting heavier, and I give up fighting to keep them open. And fall asleep.

---------------

Later that day, we all sit at our tables, the new students have been sorted and took their place at their tables. Now everyone is enjoying the feast once again. "Good evening children," Dumbledore starts and everyone quiets down. "Now, we have two changes in staffing this year. We're pleased to welcome back professor Grubbly-Plank, who will be taking care of Magical Creatures" he says pointing at the professor behind him "while professor Hagrid is on temporary leave." "What?" I say. "We're also wish to welcome our new Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher professor Delores Umbridge. And I am sure you'll all join me in wishing the professor good luck. As usual, our caretaker, Mr. Filch has asked me to remind you-" he stops when professor Umbridge clears her throat. Making everyone look at her. Then she stands up and walks to stand in front of professor Dumbledore. "She was at my hearing. She works for Fudge." Harry whispers to us. "Thank you, headmaster for those kind words of welcome. And how lovely to see all your bright, happy faces smiling up at me." Umbridge says, I look around, no one is smiling at her. Like literally no one. "I am sure we're all going to be very good friends." "That's likely." Fred and George say, making me giggle and Umbridge look at them. "The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards to be a vital importance. Although each headmaster has brought something new to this historic school..." she says looking at Dumbledore "progress for the sake of progress must be discouraged. Let us preserve what must be preserved, perfect what can be perfected and prune practices that ought to be prohibited." she speaks and chuckles after. Then walks back to her seat, and most students applaud for her. "Thank you professor Umbridge. That really was most illuminating. Now as I was saying." Dumbledore speaks again. "Illuminating? What a load of waffles." Ron says. "What's it mean?" Harry asks. "It means the Ministry is interfering at Hogwarts." Hermione says. We get back to our common room when Dumbledore dismisses us. "Wait Olivia, we need to speak to Dumbledore, remember?" Draco says. "Right, do we have to?" "Yes we do. Hermione are you ok with coming with us? I was going to go with Olivia, but I think it is good you were there too." Draco says putting his focus on Hermione, who just nods. "Why do you need to talk to Dumbledore?" Ron asks. "We need to save her mother." Draco says, getting a confused look from Ron. "I will tell you later, you go follow Harry." I say Ron nods and walks away. Hermione, Draco and I make our way to the Dumbledore's office. Draco says the password and the stairs appear and we take them to the office. I knock on the door nervously. "Yes?" Dumbledore says.
