"This is mad! Who'd wanna be taught by me? I'm a nutter, remember?" Harry says as we make our way through the little gate into Hogsmeade. "Look on the bright side. You can't be any worse than old toad face." Ron says making me giggle. "Thanks Ron." Harry just says. "I'm here for you, mate." Ron replies. I think it's sweet how they care for each other, they have been through thick and thin and still are there for each other. I mean I would do the same, but some people would've left a long time ago. "Who's supposed to be meeting us then?" Harry asks Hermione. "Just a couple of people." she says. And pushes the door from an house open and walks in, we follow her. "Lovely spot." Ron says sarcastically. Then a goat bleats and walks from behind a man standing at the bar. "I thought it would be safe somewhere off the beaten track." Hermione says. "Hey, Mitzi, come back here!" I hear a man say and yet again the goat bleats. A little while later the four of us sit in front of maybe 15 to 20 students from school. Hermione stands up to begin to explain our plan. "Uhm.. hi. So.. you all know why we're here. We need a teacher. A proper teacher. One who's had real experience defending themselves against the Dark arts." she starts but gets interrupted by some kid I don't even know: "Why?" he asks. "Why?" Ron repeats his question. "Cause You-Know-Who's back, you tosspot." "So he says." referring to Harry. "So Dumbledore says." Hermione states. "So Dumbledore says because he says." the kid talks back. "The point is where is the proof?" "Maybe Potter could tell us more about how Digory got killed" another kid says. Harry stands up "I am not gonna talk about Cedric so if that's why you are here, you might as well clear out now." he says then turns to Hermione lowering his voice a bit. "Come on Hermione, let's go, they're just here cause they think I'm some sort of freak." I grab his hand feeling bad for him, he looks at me for a second before turning away to walk out the door. "Harry, wait." Hermione says. "Is it true you can produce a Patronus Charm?" Luna asks, in her dreamy voice. I have spoken to her once, I like her, she is a little strange, but I like her. "Yes." I say "I've seen it." Hermione adds. "Blimey, Harry, I didn't know you could do that." Dean says. "Uh-uh, and he killed a Basilisk." Neville says, trying to get people to want to join our little army. "With the sword in Dumbledore's office." he continues. "It's true." Ginny says. "Third year he fought about 100 dementors at once." Ron says. "And last year he really did fight of You-Know-Who in the flesh." I say. "Wait. Look.. it all sounds great when you say it like that, but the truth is most of that was just luck." Harry says, you are not helping "I didn't know what I was doing half the time. I nearly always had help." "He is just being modest." Hermione states. "No, Hermione, I'm not. Facing this stuff in real life is not like school. In school you make a mistake you just try again tomorrow but out there when you're a second away from being murdered or watching a friend die right before your eyes you don't know what that's like." he says, I feel a lump form on my throat, I never really thought about it like that. He has gone through those terrible things. Damn. He then sits down again. Everyone is quiet, not knowing what to say or do. Just feeling bad for him. "You're right, Harry, we don't." Hermione says after a minute and sits down too. "That's why we need your help. Because if we're going to have any chance of beating.." she hesitates, "Voldemort..." she then says, "He's really back?" another kid, who I also don't know asks. Harry just nods his head.
A couple minutes later everyone is standing in line to sign a parchment that they will help us. It is such a big relief. I just now notice Draco isn't here. Did Hermione not ask him, after all she is the one coming up with this idea and reaching out to students if they wanted to help. Or did she ask him and did he refuse?
"Right we need to find a place to practice, where Umbridge won't find out." Harry says as Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, Neville, Harry and I walk over the bridge back towards the castle. "The Shrieking Shack?" Ginny suggests. "That's too small." I reply. "Forbidden Forest?" Hermione suggests as well. "Not bloody likely." Ron says. "Harry, what happens if Umbridge does find out?" I ask. "Who cares? I mean, it's sort of exciting, isn't it?" Hermione replies. "Breaking the rules." Right she has never done such a thing. "Who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger?" Ron asks obviously asking the question everyone was thinking. "Anyway, at least we know one positive thing that came from today." she says changing the subject. "What's that?" Harry asks. "Cho couldn't take her eyes off you, could she?" she replies making Ginny and I giggle as we both also noticed. "Right. Over the next few days, we should each come up with a couple of possibilities of places we can practice." Harry says as we walk into the castle. We all nod but don't speak of it again while we are inside. Not knowing where Umbridge might be. "We've got to make sure, wherever it is, there's no chance she can find us." Harry quickly says and then shuts his mouth as well. I see Draco as we walk in, but I decide to ignore him and walk with Hermione to our room. I need to know if he refused to come or if she just simply didn't ask him.
