"Hey, Mr. Hunter, Mrs. Hunter," Cory smiled as he walked into the Hunter trailer, Elena reluctantly in tow, "Boy, it sure is nice to see you back together, a whole family again in happy domestic bliss."

Cory had had to force Elena to come with him to the Pink Flamingo Trailer park that morning before school. She wasn't Shawn's biggest fan recently and vice versa. So of course, Cory had taken it upon himself to fix that no matter how unwanted his help was.

"Well, aren't you sweet," Virna smiled warmly before she narrowed her eyes at her husband, her voice icy, "If you don't want to see this entire family livin' in an Amana refrigerator box, you get your sorry act together and find some way to pay these bills!"

Cory tensed as he looked between the husband and wife awkwardly. He'd been trying to get Shawn and Elena to stop fighting but he seemed to just walk into another fight.

"Perhaps we should wait outside where there's a little less tension," He chuckled awkwardly and pulled the trailer door open hastily.

"You spineless deadbeat, hiding the bills in the cat box. I'll kill you!" They ironically heard a wife yell at her husband from a neighboring trailer.

Shawn smiled sheepishly. "It's the first of the month in the trailer park."

Cory nodded tightly and reluctantly shut the door.

Elena frowned when Shawn wouldn't so much as look in her direction. She started playing with the rings on her fingers to distract herself and keep from snapping at him with a snarky comment.

When she looked away from him, he finally looked at her. And just like Elena, a frown soon marred his face when he noticed Elena playing with her rings. Well, one ring in particular– River Jones' ring. He didn't say anything but he bristled and ripped his eyes away from her.

"Now, Virna, sugarpie, honeybunch, don't you go chewing my leg off over a minor financial fracas," Chet spoke calmly before he turned to Cory and Elena with a grin, "That's your new vocabulary word for today, 'fracas'."

Virna rolled her eyes and grabbed his ear tightly, her voice thundering. "Chet."

He gulped and stiffened in fear. "Yes, ma'am?"

"Hey, that's just like us!" Cory grinned as he nudged Elena and Shawn.

Cory's enthusiasm has worked in making them smile fondly but the second they met eyes, their smiles dropped and they scowled.

"I have been tearing tickets every afternoon at the movie theater so we don't have to hide bills in the microwave, but pay 'em like normal people, Chet." She let go of his ear in favor of clutching his robe and shaking him, "I want to be normal, Chet!"
