"Thank you, Stuart," Elena smiled as she took the red rose from Stuart Minkus.

It had become a routine of sorts, Stuart would randomly bring the girl red roses with a sweet proclamation of love to go with it.

"You're welcome. I hope you're not disappointed, I could only find one perfect rose all the others were wilted."

Elena laughed, "It's fine Stuart, I'm sure they weren't that bad."

"But you deserve only the best of the best, my sweet."

"Hey!" Their conversation was cut off by the loud voice of one of Elena's best friends, Cory Matthews.

"Scram Minkus, just because Shawn's sick today doesn't mean you can steal his girl!"

"Cory, you didn't have to do that." Elena scolded the boy once Stuart left.

"Yes I did, I gotta protect my best friend's girl!"

"And Minkus thought he could swoop in and steal Elena but I showed him!" Cory told Shawn the next day making him smile.

"Thanks Cor, I knew I could count on you." The two high fived.

Elena rolled her eyes, "I don't get why you two are so against Stuart, he's just being nice."

Shawn rolled his eyes, throwing his arm around her shoulders, "I wouldn't have a problem with him if he didn't try to take you from me!"

"I'm not yours!"

"Yes you are, we're going to get married and what kind of husband would I be if I let other guys flirt with you."
