Theo yawned as he moved around the kitchen to get everything he needed to make his midnight snack sandwich. He ran a hand down his face and leaned against the kitchen island with a tired sigh as he thought about his day. Well, more specifically, his fight with Elena.

She'd stormed out after their fight and gone over to Shawn's apartment. Eric had called him to let him know that she'd be staying in his room while he went back home for Christmas.

"Even from wherever the hell she is, she's still ruining everything," He grumbled to himself as he started making a sandwich, his mood worsening at the thought of his ex-wife.

He didn't even care about everything she'd put him through at that point. All he cared about was everything she'd ruined for Elena, even Christmas was tainted with bad memories of her drunken tantrums. So, he'd decided to rectify that for his daughter by starting over.

He wanted new Christmas traditions that wouldn't remind Elena of the horrors of Christmas' past. Overall, he just wanted to make this Christmas perfect for his pride and joy.

But Elena had been totally against that. Unlike what her father assumed, it wasn't because she somehow wanted to keep the memory of her mother alive or anything. It was actually that she hated that her father was still letting Sofia interfere with their lives.

He'd have known that if he'd listened to her. And she would have known that he was just doing what he thought was in her best interest if she'd listened to him. The two were very similar and while that was usually a good thing, in situations like these it made it all the more difficult.

He was startled out of his deep thoughts by the loud sound of a buzzer. The gatekeeper was buzzing in to let him know someone was trying to enter the premises.

"George Feeny is coming up the driveway, sir," He informed him.

"You know your job is to ask me if I want someone to come in before you let them in, right?" Theo chuckled, obviously not upset with the guard.

"I know, sir. But your mother told me George Feeny was always allowed in."

Theo's face scrunched up before he forced himself not to think about Lydia and George.

"George, it's 2:00 in the morning," He said once the older man walked into the kitchen, "Is everything okay?"

"No, Theo. Everything's not okay," He huffed dramatically, "I know what happened this afternoon between you and Elena."

Theo nodded, not seeing what the problem was. "Yeah?"

"I waited for you. I waited for Elena. Nothing," He exclaimed, obviously upset, "Nobody came over. Something like this happens, somebody should come over. I mean, she pushed you away, man. You're obviously upset, so, please, can we talk about it so I can get some sleep?"
