❝Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection.❞

"And it was always said of Scrooge that he knew how to keep Christmas well if any man alive possessed the knowledge and may that be truly said of us, and all of us. And so as Tiny Tim observed, 'God bless us. Everyone," Mr. Feeny read to the class.

"And so ends Dickens' masterpiece, A Christmas Carol."

"Wait a minute, that's not the end," Shawn interrupted softly as he and Cory turned to face Mr. Feeny, "Where's the Grinch?"

"Yeah," Cory agreed, "Isn't the Grinch supposed to show up now and like, take everything?"

"How come it's called, A Christmas Carol, anyway?" Shawn asked.

"Yeah. There was nobody in this story named Carol," Cory agreed and Elena smacked her head against the table as Cory quickly slid her pencil case down in an attempt to soften the blow.

"Miss Lawrence," Mr. Feeny sighed, "Would you please trade places with Mr. Matthews."

"Alright," Topanga nodded as she sat straighter, "I am a hyperactive, underachieving, an eleven-year-old boy."

"I meant physically."

"Oh, well, that takes less of a psychic toll."

"Why do I have to move?" Cory whined as he threw Topanga a weird look.

"We were just giving our view of the book," Shawn continued.

"You'd have to actually read the book to give your view on it," Elena sassed, she was not the happiest student today.

Topanga smiled sadly at her as she attempted to channel an ancient greek healer to help with her friend's irritable mood.

"Yeah. I mean, you say 'literary masterpiece', we say, 'eh'," Cory explained as he and Shawn gave a thumbs down simultaneously.

"Mr. Matthews, I'm less interested in your review than I am that you understand the material. That, and I think it would be greatly beneficial to Miss Martinez," Mr. Feeny said as Elena glared at Shawn when he poked her shoulder.

"What, in your opinion, was Mr. Dickens trying to express in his Christmas story?" Mr. Feeny asked as Elena once again rested her head on her desk.

"That if you're a real butthead, the neat ghosts will take you to cool places."

Mr. Feeny gave him a look before he gave him a thumbs down.

"Eh!"

"Fish and sticks, two things nature never would have put together. What'd you get?" Cory asked Shawn.
