"I genuinely miss goofing around with Elena," Shawn sighed, "But breakups aren't supposed to be easy, so..."
Topanga smiled. "Well, it's really mature of you, Shawn."
"We're doing something where we are not allowed to be in the room alone together without Cory," He explained casually, "'Cause he just naturally takes the sexual tension out of a room."
As they walked around campus they passed the student lounge where Cory and Elena were hanging out. Elena had decided she needed space from Shawn for a while Cory and Topanga were dividing quality time equally between them.
"I can't stand to see Shawn like this," Cory mumbled when he saw the sad look on his best friend's face as he passed the window.
"Well, I can't stand to see Shawn hardly at all," Elena countered dryly, "But I've gotten used to it, and so should you, because we are not getting back together."
Cory hesitated for a moment. "...You know, he used to tell me how wonderful you were. But guys always say great things about their girlfriends until they break up and that's when the truth comes out. Y'know, I've waited 18 years to find out what he really thinks about you. Do you wanna know what he thinks about you, now that you've broken up? Now that you've broken up, he still tells me how wonderful you are. He's completely broken-hearted over what he's lost."
"So am I," She sighed sadly before quickly smiling, "But he's going to regret it and I'm going to forget it."

Shawn and Elena had broken their unspoken restraining order with one another to, funnily enough, draft up a formal restraining order. Except this one was for Cory and Topanga.
"Some people are like slinkies," Elena said casually as she joined Cory and Topanga.
Their brows furrowed. "What?"
She smiled brightly. "Not really good for much but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs," She explained with a shrug.
Topanga sighed knowingly. "...Please don't push Shawn down the stairs."
"Too late," She sang with a happy glint in her eye as Shawn hobbled towards them.
"Hey, guys," He mumbled as he rubbed his elbow, "Thanks for coming."
