❝We say we're friends, but I'm catching you across the room

It makes no sense 'cause we're fighting over what we do

And there's no way that I'll end up being with you

But friends don't look at friends that way❞

"You guys are still together?" Theo asked bluntly with a frown as he set up the camera.

"Of course, we're still together," Elena scoffed, glaring at him, "That's what you do when you're dating. When you're married is when you do things separately."

"Stand at the end of the photo will ya," Theo directed Beau without a care, "That way I can just crop you out if she ever dumps you instead of throwing out the photo."

Elena wanted to say something to her father to defend Beau but even if she opened her mouth then she was going to laugh. She really was her father's daughter.

"Thanks, pumpkin," Cory smiled at his girlfriend when she helped him set down the box he was carrying.

Elena stomped over to him and glared at him. "Only I call her pumpkin," She said sternly.

Cory chuckled. "Okay, Peaches."

Topanga gasped and pinched him. "Only I call her peaches."

He frowned and let out an awkward chuckle. "But the relationship that matters most is you and me, right?"

He didn't get an answer as the two girls linked arms and walked away.

"Right?!" He called after them before crossing his arms with a frown, "You like her better than me!"

"Do you remember making this in kindergarten?" Topanga asked as she held up a random arts and crafts project from second grade.

Elena frowned as she tried to remember showering a piece of paper in glitter. "Nope."

"Exactly," Topanga said sharply as if she'd caught her in some big secret, "Y'know why? It's because you didn't. I made it so the teacher wouldn't know you ditched."

Elena smiled, nodding as she remembered now. "Oh, yeah, we got that system down pretty early, didn't we?" She patted her head proudly.

"Oh, yeah, we did," Topanga grumbled as she looked through more things she'd done to cover for Elena, "This was me too. Also mine. Mine, mine. Ooh, I was really proud of this one. I did a better job on yours than I did mine."

"Well, I was a little busy trying to keep dumb and dumber alive," Elena shrugged when Beau gave her a look. "Oh, here's my award for most absences!" She grinned.
