miniscenes: 1 am Adorable

I'm gonna write this and it's probably going to be bad because only one arm works properly and it's one am okay here we go.

"Let me see your hands." Zafir said, joking his out expectantly.

Ahri gave him an annoyed look but set her hands in his. Zafir turned her hands over to look at the bruises forming on her arms.
"You overused your powers again today."

"You know I'm going to bruise even if I don't use my powers, don't you?" Ahri said.

"Not this easily."

Ahri couldn't argue with that. She slipped her hands away and set them in her lap. She glanced at her arms. They weren't that bruised. Today had been a rough day. There were two major injuries that had to be taken care of then the usual lesser issues throughout the day.
"I'm sorry."

Zafir took a seat beside Ahri and wrapped his arms around her. "No you aren't."

"I'm sorry that this upsets you." Ahri clarified. "I don't regret helping people. It's my job. I won't let my powers go to waste."

"I just don't want to let your body go to waste either. Sometimes scrapes can be bandaged rather than healed, okay?"

"Okay." It wasn't the first time they'd had this conversation. Zafir knew she'd agree then she'd keep at what she'd always been doing. The good doctor was agreeable at all times and yet she was one of the most stubborn women he'd met when it came to her work.

"Can you at least promise me no more bruised tonight?" Zafir asked, wanting her to be careful with herself.

"No. I can't."

"Why not?" Zafir asked.

Ahri looked up at him with a dominant, flirty sort of smile he'd rarely seen from her. "I was hoping, to make my day a little better, I could bruise you tonight~"

"Hey Theo?" Rin asked.

"Yeah?" Theo looked at Rin. They were both done with work and were cuddling on his bed. Rin with her head on his chest and Theos arm around her.

"Have you ever considered the future?" She asked.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Like family. I know you're still really young but I'm curious what you think about children and marriage."

Theo nearly choked on air. Children? He was barely a legal adult himself. He had thought about it, admittedly, but he didn't expect it any time soon.

"I don't mean right now," Rin clarified, "just your dreams for some day."

"What are yours?" Theo turned the question back on her.

"I don't know. I know I can't spend my entire life working here but I never thought of where I wanted to go instead." Rin answered. "With Elyse leaving and Cherry starting a family... I feel like I should start planning."

"I want to get married. And I'd like a small family, two kids probably." Theo said. "I don't know if I want to take over the theatre or make my own path."

"I don't think I'd make a good mother." Rin said.

"Why not?"

"Why would I?"

Theo sat up slightly and looked at Rin with a very serious expression. "because you're strong, independent, and kind. You'd make a great mother! I know you would."
