I know you like Dunstan MissAvarice and I do too but I felt like this anyways. Plus I had it half written before I sent you the options. Finally I have 2 tests today and I need something to distract me.
Eva
(Nonhuman. Obviously)
"I'm back." Eva called upon ending through the garage. She set down a small bag on the table where it belonged.
"Good. I was starting to worry." Edwin was her creator. Or fixer. Whatever you chose to classify it as. He had saved her is what's important. "Do your wheels work better now?"
"Yeah, they don't catch on the guard anymore." Eva reached down to her legs. There were wheels on the end but she closed a guard when she wanted them to be legs. She used the wheels like skates, they weren't actually powered by anything.
"Did anyone see you?"
"I passed one kid but he was distracted by his phone. I don't think he saw me. Definetly didn't get a picture." Eva shrugged. "Does it really matter if they see me?"
"You're a missing person. It could. Do you want me to get arrested?" Edwin already knew that answer.
"No, sorry. Sometimes I forget you're not my legal guardian." She'd been here a decade already. Although those first few years she wasn't able to move around like this.
"You need to be more careful. Do you remember what that person looked like?" Edwin asked.
"Yes." Eva nodded.
"Find them, tonight. Get rid of the threat."
"No." Eva refused. "I told you I'm not killing anymore."
"You're forgetting a lot of things tonight, Eva." Edwin was starting to get mad. "You don't have a choice."
"I'm not killing anymore! It's wrong. He barely even glimpsed me!"
"It's not worth the threat, Eva."
"I'm not going!"
Edwin took out a remote from his pocket and pointed it at Eva. The purple light on her receptor turned red.
Shit! Eva fell to her knees. Breathe, breathe, come on. She couldn't even grasp her throat, she couldn't help herself. She couldn't breathe but her body was frozen.
"S-stop." She squeaked out. Edwin clicked the button and her light changed back to green. She fell forward with her arms on the floor and took deep breaths.
"Do you remember now what you are without me? You're dead, Eva. You agreed to do anything. Do you remember?"
"Yes." Eva answered between her deep breaths. She laid onto her side. Her lungs burned and her chest ached. Her metal fingers scraped across the floor slowly as she struggled to clear her blurry eyes.
