These scenes all take place in the future, obviously. Mostly cute family scenes that will obviously never happen in the actual roleplay because we are like 2 months in 3 years later.
Also I wrote this at three points each like a month apart so yeah

Mavati Maelle and Sadiq
"What is this?" Sadiq asked Mavati. She had asked them to come to her den without actually leaving it herself. It looked much different than before. It was also kept warmer. She always had a bed in there but now a nest made of tightly packed soft materials had been made.Mavati looked over at the pair when they entered and smiled at him. "Uh, a surprise?"
Sadiq and Maelle walked over to Mavati to see what exactly the nest was for.
"Is than an egg?" Maelle asked.
"Yeah..."
"And is it, y'know?"
"Fertilized? Also yes." Mavati looked at Sadiq sheepishly. "surprise?"
"How is it a surprise. Hybrids went into heat almost a month ago." Sure heat vary a bit but this was really late.
"Remember three weeks ago? You two came here for a weekend?" Mavati said. "I think I went into heat then but we were active often enough I didn't feel the effects of heat before you cured it. I haven't shifted until a couple days ago so I didn't lay an egg."
Dragon shifters would have a live birth unless they shifted sometime during their six month pregnancy. Mavati had done that her first time around. Since hybrid genes were dominant it was safe to shift, the child would always be a hybrid.
Maelle quieted, seeming to accept that explaination as possible but not sure what else to say now.
Sadiq looked as calm as ever but inside he was not. The perk of dating two hybrid women was that an unwanted pregnancy should not be possible. This was entirely unexpected and unplanned.
He wasn't upset with Mavati, of course, it wasn't as if she could control her heat cycles. It was just a lot to process, a lot to plan.
"What do you want to do?" Sadiq spoke his words slowly. Really what were their options, what were they supposed to do now. A child wasn't in their plans for the close future. It was a topic casually discussed but no serious planning.
Mavati looked at the egg beside her in the nest. It was a white color with yellowish speckles. A common dragon egg, really. It was the first one she'd seen herself since her island was attacked.
"I don't know. Dragon numbers are so low, I'll be expected to have children. Right now is soon and not a great time. It's..." Mavati took a moment to gather her thoughts, "if it's too much - we could break it."
"But won't you feel it?" Maelle asked.
"Yes. But it's okay. The soul has barely started to gather, it is not full yet." As part of her spirit magic, Mavati could feel all the souls around her. She was harmed when one was destroyed. Well, not really destroyed, but seperated from it's body. Death of another hurt her. It was the curse of her magic.
"What do you want to do?" Sadiq asked. She was speaking for all of them. Just possibilities. He couldn't tell what it was that Mavati wanted. It was her egg in the end, he had no real say over it. He could see her inner turmoil but he didn't know what specifically was her issue.
"I want to stay with you." Mavati answered. "I think I want to keep her, but not if I have to lose you to do so."
So that was it. Mavati feared Sadiq would leave her. He didn't want to leave her either. He wasn't certain what he felt about the egg but was it fair to force her to choose between them?
