From both worlds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Arinx was between jobs for the time being. She'd gotten accepted to her new job and taken care of all the work needed to start. Her first day was Monday but today was Friday.
She'd decided she wanted four days to relax and get herself ready for her first ever job in the business world so she'd put in her last day as Wednesday.
Well, Thursday went by and she was very productive. She found the business casual clothes that Zach had helped her pick out last weekend (she insisted she was going to pay him back over time).
She'd also gotten done some grocery shopping and took care of the laundry. She didn't like feeling useless so it gave her something to do while thinking over the future.
Today she'd deep cleaned the apartment, it needed to be done anyways. She'd double checked she had everything she needed for her job as well.
Which meant she had nothing left to do. She decided to watch some tv but didn't pay all that much attention. The couple in the show was kind of cute though...
Maybe she should text Zach.
She sent him the link to a website in the area. A nice seafood restaurant that Gabe said was good. Apparently that doctor took him on a date there the other day.
Arinx: We should go here sometime.
It was about two minutes before she got a reply.
Zach ❤️: we should.
She looked at his message in reply and sighed. He didn't get it.
Arinx: do we have any dinner plans for tonight?
Zach ❤️: No. Do you want me to pick up something on the way home?
He replied faster that time. That's nice. She tapped her nails against the back of her phone, trying to decide how to reply.
She couldn't afford that restaurant. Actually, she couldn't afford much right now. She'd spent most of her budget on business clothes and other things she'd need for her new job. Most of what she had left would go to her phone bill and her share of the rent.
Arinx: idk. I've never had shrimp before?
Arinx didn't get a reply at first so she checked her phone. He'd read her message, why wasn't he replying? She'd probably pushed too hard. After all, if he knew what she was doing he'd know she was asking him to buy her dinner. That was kind of rude on her part.
Arinx tried to split the check most of the time but for more expensive restaurants or times when Arinx was low on money, Zach would pay for both of them. He'd never bring up her situation but he very well knew what it was.
Five more minutes passed and Arinx picked up her phone again. She should stop this incase her pressuring had annoyed him.
Arinx: I think we have chicken thaw. I can make something with that.
Zach❤️: the restaurant you sent me has shrimp. Do you want to go out tonight?
Zach had just been busy looking at the menu to see if it had what she wanted. That's why he took a bit to reply.
Arinx: sure.
Zach❤️: I'll be home in 30. Be ready to leave.
He really was the best boyfriend, wasn't he? Arinx turned off her phone and put it on the table. She didn't deserve him, but here she was. That seafood restaurant was nicer, she should probably change.
*30 minutes later*
"Welcome home." Arinx smiled, going to greet Zach at the door. He only was able to set down his briefcase before Arinx hugged him.
