MissAvarice
Finally developing her a little. I'm running out of topics and let's be honest, this would never organically come up in the rp.
~~~~~~~~Mavati walked along the rocks of the shore where she had landed a week ago and collapsed from her exhaustion. It had taken her quite a bit of time to search the island for survivors then give proper burials to each dragon. She knew each of their names. She knew of their family. They were all gone.
Mavati wrapped her arms across her stomach as she remembered her child. He was barely able to speak his first words...
She dashed away the tears that fell from her eyes. She had cried far too much in the last weeks. She needed to hunt now. She noticed, upon touching her sides, that her ribs were prominent. She had been neglecting hunting.
Mavati looked along the coast of jagged rocks. She had flown east from her island until she found somewhere to land. She didn't know what this place was. She had never gone east of the island. She hardly left the island unless it was to go hunting in the reefs to the west or take time alone on small surrounding islands.
She got to her feet and began to walk along the rocks. The jagged edges did not bother her bare feet. Most on the island did not wear shoes. She was not wearing clothes at the moment either. The dragons burial rituals were traditionally done by a closely related Dragon in bare skin to be more in tune with the earth and sky. Some of the blue and white paint used in the rituals still clung to her skin.
She walked for quite some time along the shore to only the sound of the waves and sea birds. She glanced up at the sun so see she'd been walking for over half the day.
She paused when she saw a harbor in the distance where the jagged rock shore slowly became a smoother inlet. Where there is a harbor, there are people.On mavati's island it was not strange to see people waking around half of any ages. Those who did wear clothes tended to have very revealing ones. The problem was that between the thick base of their tail and their wings, there was very little room for clothing on their torso. Tops often only covered their breasts to give their wings freedom and shorts hung low on their hips where it would not bother their tails. Most would wear shorts but many women did not bother with the tops. Some who chose not to wear tops would use a dirt paint, similar to the kind on Mavati at the moment, to feel more covered.
Despite all that, she knew most species wore very conservative clothing. Her dragon features would make it hard enough for her to blend in, being bare would not help.
Perhaps it would if she found a male guide but that may lead to a whole other issue.
Mavati looked at the coast but, as she expected, there was no clothing just lying around. Mavati pursed her lips before sighing. This was not ideal.
She wrapped her own tail around her legs so she could still walk but hid her body from view moderatly well. She brushed her hair in front of her shoulders to cover her chest as well as she could. That would have to do for now.
As soon as she was spotted approaching town, people began to stare. Mavati wasn't sure if it was from her lack of clothing or due to her species. Looking around she only saw humans there.
"Excuse me?" A young woman called, gaining mavati's attention. The girl did not look special. Middle class. Perhaps she had married a man able to provide for her. Her hands looked too soft to be doing hard work.
Being a spirit dragon, Mavati was used to reading people. She could feel that this woman meant her no harm. She wanted to help Mavati however Mavati could feel an underlying greed to her actions.
