Alright here's the difference in the three types we have so far (dragon, mer, and snake) Also two birds with one stone heres some scars for idea of appearance
Anatol- in human form

Anatol had a lot of spaced scales, especially on his back. His are a deep blue color so they're very noticable. He is the only one with scales on his face.
Freia

Freias scales cluster a lot more. The tan ones are also more spaced out than the green ones. Aside from her chest, her green scales are solid patches while the beige ones are just mixed with her skin. Hers are a lot more focused around joints and more sensitive areas. Only dragons have true patches of scales replacing skin.
Mavati would be the same but her scales are light brown (very light) and white so you don't really see them.
Scilia

Scilia has the most scales out of anyone and they're in a relatively diamond shaped pattern. This is due to her subspecies of lamia, not all have diamond patterns. However she has no true clusters of scales and they're all randomly throughout her body much like freckles. Hers are a variety of shades of tans, browns, and some gold.
