Scene: Elyse and Sitri (again)

"Are you certain this is what you want." Sitri checked with Elyse again.

"I'm sure." She nodded. "And I want Cherry to do it."

"You don't have to be scared, Elyse. It's going to hurt but you're going to be okay. You'll wake up hungry but Sitri will be here to help you through it. Im spending the night with Nolan so I'll come back when I hear you're awake." Cherry assured Elyse.

Elyse had decided that she wanted to be changed into a vampire. It was the easiest species to be change into while alive. She had decided that she loved Sitri more than she wanted children. They could adopt a child, of course. She could still have her family she always dreamed of.

Sitri sat beside Elyse on their shared bed while Cherry was on Elyse's other side after being asked to turn Elyse. She'd wanted it to be Cherry since she trusted her and Cherry had done it before to Faris.

"We should wait for another day." Sitri said, noticing Elyse's tears and gently wiping them off her cheek. "You're crying."

"No. I don't want to wait any longer I'm just- I'm just scared." Elyse admitted. That was quite obvious already. Her ears were pinned down and her knuckles were white with how tightly her hands were balled.

"That's why we should wait. There's no rush. You can think this over longer so you don't have to be scared." Sitri said.

"I'll always be scared. I don't like pain. But I don't like aging while you stay the same either. I want to do this while I'm still young. Please support me."

"I do support you, Elyse." Sitri said. He felt guilty though. He knew exactly how much Elyse was giving up. She'd watch her twin sister grow old and die along with many of her friends. She'd never have those kids she dreamed of. And if for some reason their love ever faded, it would all be for nothing.

"Can you hold me?"

Sitri nodded again. Elyse moved over to sit between his legs with her back against his chest. Sitri wrapped his arms around her waist loosely, just resting there.

"Are you ready?" Cherry asked.

Elyse nodded. Cherry bit her wrist and offered it to Elyse. Elyse was hesitant before she leaned forward to accept Cherrys blood. Just a few drops was all it would take. She closed her eyes after and tilted her head to the side. Just like the other times she'd been fed off of.

Except it wasn't. The pain of the vampire venom quickly spread. Elyse couldn't even utter a sound of pain. She felt like she couldn't move as all. Sitri winced since the hand gripping his arm almost painfully tight extended her claws. He knew she couldn't help it but that didn't make it not hurt.

Fortunately for both of them Elyse passed out quickly from the pain.

"I am staying a few nights at the palace to see my brother and king Germaine if you need me for any reason." Cherry told Sitri. "Please take care of her."

Cherry knew little about Sitri outside of what Elyse had told her. She wanted to trust him but she also wanted Elyse to be safe. She hoped Sitri would come to her if there were any problems or questions.

"Especially if she shows to be strong leaning like I am, you may need help restraining her."

Cherry knew she was being mostly ignored. Sitri was too busy caring for Elyse. He laid her down and made sure she was comfortable on the bed. Cherry sighed before she took her leave. It would be a long few days.

Elyse woke in the early hours of the next morning. Sitri was sitting beside her in the bed, just waiting for her to wake up. Her eyes snapped open and she seemed frozen for a moment. She pushed herself up and rubbed her eyes, still a bit sore from the change. Sore and hungry.
