"Who's stupid now, Alphaeus. The only stupid part of this was copying a page of Raziels book. Why the hell does he even have this." Dalphia muttered to herself as she finished drawing the demon portal meant to summon the devil.
It wasn't like she was summoning him to heaven. She was on earth for the time being. Call it an extended trial. Azrael was testing her skills and she just got a little lost on the way back to heaven. Not as if her mentor would ever actually allow this or leave her on her own. Azrael had no idea what she was up to. He kept to himself when they weren't working and Dalphia wasn't following him around.
Dalphia lit the last few candles of the circle and read the page in front of her. She was supposed to use blood but this ritual was for humans. She picked up the vial of blood beside her and dripped it in the circle.
It's okay she collected it from one of the bodies she saw after Azrael took a soul. She didn't hurt anyone to get it.
Dalphia recited the incantation and watched the candles flicker before going blue. Flames spread over the lines of the circle in the most stereotypical way possible before a demon appeared in the center.
Not Lucifer but his daughter, the current devil, Blake. Blake didn't even spot the angel before she felt the presence of her holy aura. Angels. Being around their purity gave her a headache sometimes.
"Micheal what is possibly so important you had to summon me instead of just sending a letter... You're not Micheal." Blake stopped her original annoyed rant when she spotted the young female angel.
"Nope. I'm not." Dalphia answered. "I'm Dalphia. But my name is life was Xeyani."
"Both of those are terrible names." Blake stated.
"Yeah, I know." Dalphia grinned. "What's your name?"
"Doesn't matter. I won't be here long. Are you delivering a message for one of the arch angels?" Blake asked.
"Hmm? No I just wanted to try this out." Dalphia said with a shrug.
"Great. Can I go now? I have work to do." Blake asked in annoyance.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought demons were always free. Of course you can go home. I can do you that favor." Dalphia said.
"Great." Blake then vanished in a similar flame burst as how she arrived.
Dalphia's smile only extended to a full grin. Almost frightening. "You can pay me back later~" she said to the empty room.
Blake should watch her phrasing. She asked to leave. Dalphia gave her permission. Dalphia did her a favor, in other words. And Blake was in her debt.
