Moira / (she goes by many names)
"I've never understood your fascination with them." Moira looked to Island. Isy's adoration of humans was foreign to her. Isy was part mortal, perhaps it came from her human half. Man kind had very strong emotions.
"Your mother loved humans too." Isy argued with Moira. "So much so that she created an entire species."
"Actually she had a child with a wolf, not a human. A mortal all the same, I suppose." Moira played calmly with her ring and looked away from an illusion pool that the gods used to watch over humanity. Those that cared enough to look anymore that is. Of the original three gods one was asleep, one was trapped in a statue, and the final one had become one with the earth itself. They'd given up entirely. She supposed her mother was still trying to escape her statue. Perhaps Aliqus youngest child would someday free their mother. It wasn't for Moira to say. Out loud at least.
"They're unpredictable! Humans are so complicated. You never know what they're going to do. I mean, look at this darling. His name is Dunstan. He's training yo be a warrior in his village but he's still young. He's a determined man." Isy pointed out a boy of no more than 8 wielding a wooden sword and playing with others his age.
"They're not unpredictable. He's going to lose his arm in an accident. He'll be kicked out of his village. Confused on the mainland. Later he will meet a man by the name of -"
"Stop! It's no fun when you ruin the surprises!" Isy whined, cutting of Moira's ramble.
"Isy, what is my name?"
"You go by too many of them." Isy pouted.
"Moira is my god given name. Fate or Destiny to the mortals. There are no surprises to me."
"You're too strong for your own good." Isy huffed. "I wish I could block your magic."
"You wish to change Fate herself. Ironic, isn't it?" Moira hummed.
"Is that even possible?" Isy had asked before. Did Moira see fate but not control it, did she control it but not humans, or did humans control their own destiny.
As always, Moira dodged the question.
"Perhaps life would be more enjoyable if I was a lesser god. Or a demi god." Fate said.
Fate was one of the most powerful active gods of the time. There were dozens, perhaps even hundreds of gods here in the over realm. But there were levels of power.
Moira is the offspring of Aliqu and Seth. Her mother is the goddess of Balance and Cycles. Her father is God of Fear and the Unknown.
Moira was the goddess of Fate. Balanced, frightening, and cyclical. Entirely Unknown. She took after both her parents.
"Fate likes to repeat itself, doesnt it?" Isy asked after a moment.
"The saying is 'history will always repeat itself' but yes fate aligns for it to do so." Moira answered.
