Congrats you finished your exam. I have a gift for you. Cause everyone needs a little angst to be truly happy. (With maybe a little wholesomeness thrown in)

"What are ya doing down there?" Uriel asked, taking a peek at his partner.

Kit often took naps on Uriels lap. Sometimes while shifted and other times in human form, leaning against his legs from under the desk.

Today, however, he was under the desk wide awake. He'd just made himself comfortable and started drawing in one of his books.

"Drawing."

"I know you're drawing. Wouldn't that be easier to do out here in the light?" Uriel moved his legs so Kit could crawl out if he wanted.

He didn't though. Kit just leaned against the desk drawers and looked back to his book. "I can see fine. I'm a fox."

"I'd like to be able to see you better."

Kits pencil stopped moving for a moment as he considered Uriels words. "I feel safer down here."

"Do you not feel safe in heaven?" Uriel worried. He didn't think anyone would bother Kit. Especially not since their relationship had gone public. He wasn't sure who started the rumors but eventually everyone was talking about it.

"I do." Kit closed his book and set his head on Uriel's knee. Uriel smiled at him and gently pet his hair.

"Are you going to tell me what's wrong or are you going to play games until I figure it out?" Uriel could recognize the question dodging.

Kit turned so his cheek rested against Uriels thigh and gently wrapped his arms around his leg. "Do you know how I died?"

"You were stabbed, I'm guessing. You never did tell me." Uriel had seen the marks on his chest. Apparently the demigods kept their mortal appearances after death. Scars and imperfections included.

"Rai-an said the way I died is a sin to angels. And that if you knew, you wouldn't love me anymore." Kit hugged Uriels leg, not coming out from under the table or looking up at him.

"Can you please come out? It would be easier to talk if I could see you."

Kit hesitated before he slowly nodded and let go of Uriel. Uriel moved back from his desk so Kit could crawl out. Once Kit was on his feet he gently pulled him to sit in his lap.

"My love for you is not conditional, Kit." Uriel guided Kit to lean against him.

"Even if I'm a sinner?" Kit asked, hiding his face against Uriels neck.

"Did you murder someone?" Uriel asked, figuring that was the issue.

"Kind of..."

"Did you take your own life?" He was able to put to clues together. Kit nodded. "Well, to us that is a sin."

Kits gentle hold on Uriels shirt turned into a much tighter one. That didn't make him feel any better.

"A single sin does not make you a bad person though." Uriel continued. "Especially if you were justified."

"How do I know if I was justified?" Kit glanced up at Uriel, tears lingering in his eyes. He didn't want to be a sinner. He didn't want to be a disappointment to Uriel.

"Do you want me to see your past? I can judge you, but only if you want me to." Uriel offered. He had a feeling that was the only way to put Kits mind to ease.

"Yes." Kit nuzzled up closer to Uriel. "You can judge me."

"Okay." Uriel leaned down to give him a gentle kiss on the head.
