MissAvarice you gave me an idea. But not really I had an idea and you agreed. So I wrote 4800 words about it.

Also Freya kept auto correcting to Freia so if you see Freia I meant Freya.

Freya shared fourth period and lunch with Arinx, one after the other. By the time fourth period came around it was 11:00 so most people were as awake as they'd get. But not Arinx, that was the third time this week that the teacher scolded her for sleeping in class.

Not only that, Freya had come to realize Arinx rarely ate lunch. She always had a lunch box so nobody noticed but Freya, checking on her with just glances, had never once seen her eat.

She knew who Arinx was to an extent. She got into a few fights throughout their years of high school. That wouldn't be too memorable except some were with the teachers. Rumors had it she was the one that started the fire in shop class last year. There were other negative things circling her around the school. Some claimed she sold drugs. That she had a criminal record for petty theft and assault. Freya tried not to listen to rumors.

"Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" Freya asked, setting her lunchbox down across from Arinx then taking the seat. Arinx silently looked at Freya as she sat down.

"What, someone dared you to sit by me? Fuck off." She grumbled. Wouldn't be the first time someone used her as a scare threat.

"No. I noticed you eating alone so I thought you might want company." Freya answered with a smile despite the ride welcoming. It must have happened a couple times before for Arinx to expect it.

"Mmm." Absolutely no interest was shown.

"I made banana bread yesterday, want some? It's got chocolate chips." Freya changed tactics, opening her container with conveniently two slices of the banana bread.

Arinx looked at the container then back to Freya. This was weird.

Still, she wasn't in the position to turn down food. She accepted the slice she was offered and silently bit into it. It wasn't bad.

"Your name is Arinx, right? That's a really unique name." Freya tried to start a different topic.

"You've got a weird name too." Arinx but out between bites of the bread, seeming to take the comment as an insult.

"Haha yeah, I do. I'm surprised you know my name." Freya agreed. Though she supposed having a unique name was better than a normal name with a 'unique' spelling that grayce or chrestiena.

"Everyone knows your name."

"Really? I don't think I'm /that/ popular. Its probably just because it's different." Freya shrugged. "You have a tattoo, right? On your arm. I saw it the other day when you had short sleeves. It's a beautiful rose."

"I have to go to class." Arinx abruptly stood up, only after shoving the last of the bread into her mouth mind you, and grabbed her backpack.

"Oh, alright. I'll see you again tomorrow then. Bye Arinx!"

And she was gone. That was a little disappointing. She didn't have long to be upset about it before her friends filled the table and changed the atmosphere to a perky one again.

**Freya continued to come sit by Arinx every day for lunch. Sometimes she got a short conversation, usually it was single word replies. It never lasted longer than it took Arinx to eat. It went on like that for almost a month**

"Why are you sitting with her, Freya? It's obvious she doesn't want you to sit there."

"I don't think so. She never tells me to leave." Freya told her friend, stopping at her locker for books and a snack she left there this morning.
