Imma warn you now the majority of this is sad sappy without your ocs reactions because obviously I couldn't do them perfectly. I only desire to tug at hearts.
Then a more lighthearted ending because I always need a dumbassery bit.

It was almost their anniversary. Cherry looked over the plans once more to make sure everything was perfect. She and Faris would celebrate the anniversary with some nobles and foreign diplomats who come in place of aligned royalty. The next day she wanted a smaller party. She'd gotten some help from Kassim and Yasmine to include some more allelic features to everything.
It had been a long year. She and Kassim had spent more than their fair share of time in this office. After Amir joined them four months ago things got a little easier.
Amir helped her love life too. Faris had time to meet with Mavati. He was starting to figure everything out. He was starting to care for cherry, to trust her. She didn't think he loved her, she didn't know if he ever would, but his care was better than just respect.
Kassim and Amir had already gone to bed. Faris probably had too. Cherry just felt like she shouldn't sleep yet. Something was bothering her so she was distracting herself with anything she got her hands on.
"You're still awake?"
Cherry startled at the voice and looked up to see Blake in the chair in the corner of her office.
"I wasn't expecting you to visit." Cherry smiled at her old friend. "I haven't seen you since the wedding. Are you coming to the anniversary party?"
Blake didn't match Cherrys smile. "no, unfortunately. I'm here on business. It's about your ancestors deal."
"The deal?" Cherrys smile fell. "You said that was repaid."
"Because you offered yourself to me. First born of the Zul bloodline." Blake nodded. "I'm calling it in."
Cherry felt a lump in her throat. She didn't know what that meant exactly. Was Blake going to take her soul? Her life? Her heart? What Blake would do with the Zul child was never specified and as much as Cherry saw Blake as a friend, she acknowledged her power and ruthlessness. "Right now?"
"Yes. Right now." Blake nodded.
"What about Faris? And Nolan? What am I supposed to-"
"One of them. Go talk to one person. You can't tell them I'm here or where you're going. Give an excuse to leave the palace, I'll take care of the rest. And be fast, I don't have time to spare."
One person? What was she supposed to stay to one person. She didn't know if she was ever going to be back.
"Now, Cherry, or you'll lose the chance." Blake added since she seemed frozen in the moment.
"Yes. Sorry." Cherry took a stack of paper from her desk drawer and set it in the middle of her desk before leaving the office to go to her room.
"Good evening your highness."
"Good evening Amir." Cherry greeted him with a nod. She was surprised to see he and Faris were still up. She had been worried those two wouldn't get along after learning of their past but Amir had been helping Faris settle in more than she ever could. She was glad they got along so well after a little bit of an adjustment period.
"Are you coming to bed?"
"No. I think I'm going to go take a ride alone down the paths. I want some fresh air and to clear my head. I just wanted to come see if Faris was asleep yet." Cherry strode over to Faris side of the bed and he looked up at her curiously.
