Chapter 7

Yato: Pov:

It was now 9:30 a.m.

It had been about an hour and a half since I left our camp after being expelled, and I finally decided to take a break and sit on a rock after wandering in the forest.

Yato: That still bothers me...

I had this bad feeling about Kushida...

But there is no evidence that she would have told Ibuki I was the leader.

In fact, it's quite the opposite; Kushida can be considered one of the leaders of our class along with Hirata...

I don't understand why she would betray the class, as it doesn't align with her personality as the perfect and nice girl.

Unless...

Yato: Sighs...

There are only two days remaining before the end of the special exam.

I'll stay on my guard for the next two days because I have no idea who might have leaked that I was the leader to C-class. My only lead was Kushida, but now I'm not certain after giving it some thought.

After all, Kushida wasn't the only concerning one...

Yato: Anyway, wasting more of my energy to think about it bothers me...

There's no need for me to be one hundred percent serious about it...I already obtained my due in this special exam, which is the private points from Class A.

Other goals or unseen actions don't concern me...

Yato: Where should I head off for the remaining time here?

I believe I have two possible options available to me...

The first option would be to visit the B-class camp and ask if I can stay with them for the rest of the week.

From what I've seen of Ichinose's personality, she will likely agree, and Horikita informed me that our two classes have formed an alliance. This seems to be the safest and simplest solution for me.

The second option is to remain in the forest alone.

I might have more freedom, but the major downside is that I would need to handle everything on my own—food, water, fire, and setting up my camp—so it would be more work.

Yato: Yeah, screw the hard work...I'll opt for simplicity.

There are only two days left, and I will not add any more work.

That's how I got up and started walking in the direction of Class B camp.

Time Skip

Yato Pov:

I finally arrived at the B-class camp, and I saw that their class cohesion was still the same as it was the last time I came with Ayanokoji and Horikita.

I couldn't help but feel it was almost too much, yet it was still better than ours right now.

Nevertheless, in the long run game of class battle, I still believe Ichinose's naive way of thinking is a significant weakness. However, upon observing her class, I can't deny that this trait also offers some advantages.

Ichinose: Mhm?

Ichinose noticed me, stopped what she was doing, and came over.

Ichinose: Hey, it's Fukazawa-kun! How have you been?
